Gosh, I forgot about the stock image prohibition within PSA. Thanks for pointing it out. If I'm going to substitute skies, I should start a collection of my own! Again, thanks.. |

I have an old D90 that I had converted at Life Pixel. It's a super color conversion, which allows some of the visual spectrum (along with IR) to hit the pixels. So no filters on the lens. So far, it's all about the vegetation and unexpected reflections off windows and water.... |

Yup, that was what was wrong. I've re-sized it. Thanks |

Hmm, the file size SHOULD be 713 kb. I'll reattach it. |

What a lovely place. So troubling about the retreating glacier. The image is beautiful.
One could arguably speak of needing sharper focus on the background, with a smaller aperture or focus stacking. |

Hi Bob,
A sunflower never looked so good, particularly with the translucence of the petals and the brightness shining through. Maybe the green leaves behind the flower could be cloned out, especially on the left, but I'm sure that would be tricky. Then there's the leaf in front which would then perhaps stand out too much. Taking out all of the greenery would perhaps leave the flower too stark and lacking context.
Gotta love that painterly effect from Topaz. |

Your struggles with the negative space paid off. Very crisp at 5.6.
This is a great example of seeing ordinary things in a new way. I may be tempted to place a little sparkle, like a little sunburst...but I am too easily attracted to bright, shiny objects! |

Hi Tim,
What an interesting trip. This is a very pleasing shot that must be one of your best memories. One can almost feel the warmth of the fire.
The area above the mantle must be smoke-stained. Maybe, as Bob says, it could be brightened a bit. |

Hi Bob,
I think you're right. The magenta area are distracting. I think it's an artifact of the IR filtering. I did what you said, and I think the magentas are diminished and the blue in the Milky Way better matches the main blue...Thank you! |

Hi Karen,
It's just whimsy. I think Infrared allows us to see things in ways we otherwise couldn't, sort of...
While processing the image, one of the results kind of intrigued me. I drifted into imagining how things might look for a creature with different eyes and a different visual cortex...a bullfrog, maybe? Anyway, it's just a deliberately altered daytime scene that somehow tickled my imagination. |
