Carol, love this shot.. Amazingly sharp capture of the subject with f/8, probably with higher shutter speed? The whole body are all in focus.. Like the sharp big eye.. Yeah.. wondering what the frog is sitting on.. :-) |

Hi Margaret, great outcome from your stacked images.. I would never be able to merge 72 images with my PS (my pc runs out of resources in the middle for sure).
When you mentioned 'stack by hand'.. do you mean you move the focus manual around the subject? I have also tried that this past week (just 5 to 10 variations).. The result was not bad as well. |

Thanks, Carol.. I was pleased that I was able to darken the whole background. The flower looks more outstanding. I was trying not to have the subject right at the middle of the image.. Right, I should have left the tips of all petals in the final image.. Maybe I would have cropped more on the right so the flower would still be off-centre, but keeping the tips of the petals on the left.. Thanks for confirming that it's a better outcome with the whole flower be included. |

Thanks, Stuart.
Good eye.. Yeah, I missed cloning out the small flower petal near the bottom. You are right, I was trying to keep the tips of all petals, but then The subject appears right in the middle. I was trying to keep the 1/3 rule. Cropping was a bit challenging on this one. |
