Hi Carol, love the water-color look.. You are so artistic! Hope I can absorb more and make one artistic image sometime.. |

Yep.. Agreed that a lighter (brighter) version does please the viewer better. The petals are all in focus.. Good work with 10-images stack. |

Yes, Pat.. I have both D750 and D850. D750 does not provide in-camera focus stacking like the D850. But it is also fun to try rail to produce focus staking shots.. Keep playing... I am too. :-) |

Hi Stuart, nice backlight on the frosted flower with sharp crystal.. Yeah.. it would be nice if you can take the shot on the front of the flower.. However it runs the risk of losing the crystals when moving it. The blurred background does not bother me. |

Great shot, Gloria!
The direct sunlight gives you a solid shadow which makes the image more interesting. Yes, the hardness from the noon sunlight does bother most people.. Just wondering pulling the exposure curve (in PS) could help ease the light contrast a bit..? |

Hi Stuart, I was looking for Dom's webinar.. Looks like we need to submit a form requesting to view..? True? |

Hi Fran,
Very nice pattern.. Agreed with Carol and Stuart, a bit tighter cropping could bring more focus on the area of pattern you prefer to direct the audience to. |

Good points, Carol. Yes, this indoor plant can be moved to
align with the camera lens axis / sensor. I originally thought that the plant looks big when I got so close.. hence
using large number of shots for focus stacking.. Agreed that
if I can afford f/13 and 2.5sec shutter speed, focus stacking may not actually needed.. I was just trying to be 1:1 with focus stacking. Thanks for the other ideas.. Good learning exercise for me. |

Hi Stuart,
Thanks very much for the tips.. I was wondering what those white spots (looked like out-of-focus) are. I missed that
they were reflection. Adjusting the light source direction or using a cpl filter would sure help. Thanks you!
Oops.. Sorry.. the 'handheld' wording was from a previous text file I copied. The camera was on tripod all the time the shots were made. |
