Very good point, Stuart. I see myself sometimes not spending sufficient time in composing using different settings.. I guess this comes with experience.. Will definitely keep that in mind. |

Good point Stuart. It would be nice to have had another shot with more depth of field. However, due to the outdoor environment (although not much wind that day), I did not 'risk' with slower shutter speed along with a smaller aperture. Maybe next time I would use a higher iso to allow smaller aperture.
By the way, I am learning to be more artistic.. and trying to appreciate those artistic blurring effect - like those images of last couple months from Carol.. :-)

Hi Tom, just wondering why you did not want to darken the background a bit to lower the distraction to the subject? I was thinking this could be a high key exposure to separate the subject and the background? I need some enlightening here. Thanks. |

Hi Pat, interesting capture of the wrinkles pattern.. Just wondering what aperture you were using.. Looks like the focus point is the eyelid? The eyebrows and some hair are somehow not in focus (probably intentional?). |

Love this capture.. Only such early morning side/back light can make the frost texture stand out. The pink colour is great with the dark bokeh background. |
