Thanks, Gloria. Agreed.. It probably would present a more interesting view if I crop a bit closer.. |

You are right, Carol.. It probably is due to DOF.. It's a lovely and interesting capture.. I like Tom's idea of rotating it in a small angle with the head facing upward..
Thanks for sharing such nice pic. |

Hi Tom, Thank for the nice job dodging and burning the left part.. The overall image looks much better after that.. Again, I should have spent more time reviewing the overall look, esp the exposure.. As also mentioned by Carol, the left portion is a bit over-exposed... Something I overlooked. Thanks again. |

Good suggestion, Stuart.. I also wonder what the outcome would look like if I shot it at 1:1.. Hope the next bloom comes up and I could try it again.. |

Hey Tom, great suggestions.. I prefer the diagonal one better.
I was thinking the side-way layout would please the human eye direction better. In fact the actual flower does come up at an angle. |

Thanks, Carol.
Yes. I did tone down the green as I think it distract the subject a bit. I was trying to fix the small white blown-out on the left but failed.. It was caused by the side-light. It does not really bother one yet..
Thanks for suggesting the different angles.. Very good point. I like the diagonal once suggested by Tom. |

Carol, this is already an outstanding image. I also see that the legs are not in focus.. just wondering whether higher shutter speed could help? |

I zoomed in to look at the details.. It's amazingly sharp in most parts.. but frustratingly some parts seem to have gotten blown out.. I dare not trying to capture macro images on crystal. I am interested to know how to avoid those blown-out areas even after stacking.. Sorry I have no contribution to your question. |

Gloria, a very interesting image of live oysters.. From my observation, the direct sunlight did not cause much problem. I still see some shadow on the right side. It would be even more interesting if you zoom in (or crop in) even more (the top left corner is a bit blur anyways).. Nice pic. |
