Hi Pat- thanks for your comments. This image was done inside the house using light from a window. I don't have any other images with a different DOF- but I will keep that in mind for the future. Thank you again. |

Tom- great pepper seeds- your focus front to back is great. Lighting is nice- just enough shadows to add a lot of depth. Very nice. |

A great shot of this little guy. The colors work together so well, and the details of the structures on his back are fun. The soft focus in the background of the other grasses is nice and adds some nice light too. I agree that you might consider cropping in from the top and get rid of the white space in the left top corner. Really like this. |

Stuart- love your capture of the bee and flower. Your lighting and the shadows created by both petals and bee are really nice. I don't find fault with your focus- it's a real life view. |

Pat- you achieved your goal. Your narrow band of focus really works with this image. I love the colors and the way you have placed the circles coming out of the corner. |

This is a lovely image, Carol. The color and details of the flower center are great and I like the way the other petals fade away into the background. Just enough of the stem to ground the flower. |

Thanks Stuart! I use white vignettes rarely, but it did seem to work on this image.
I appreciate your feedback. |

Thank you Carol. I like the softness too- most macro is all about the sharpness, but I like the mood of this.
The light was natural light coming in a window- the flowers were in the house. |
