It is probably our biggest challenge as photographers. How do we translate a pretty scene into a composition that works as a competition image or an image that is successful in a creative environment. So your question is spot on and I always ask that question |

A very high contrast image that suits the scene quite well. Love the moodiness of the scene. All the noise in the sky is a bit distracting. Also make sure your building is vertical. They seem to lean over a bit |

A lovely scene Arief. The whites and highlights ia however quite bit over exposedAnd it unfortunately distracts from the pretty scene |

Very interesting city scape Nenette. The different apartments is very interesting and all different. The arrows in the bottom right corner enhances the image as it focuses the attention on the rooms. Well done. Very interesting |

An interesting vantage point for the house. Compositionally I am not sure you need the sky and all the water in the image. I would have rather tilted the camera down and concentrated more on the house. In this image the balance of the huge mass of watered relatively small building is not quite right I think
