19 Oct 21 Comment Thank you Norm, I appreciate the welcome. Thanks also for the suggestion to change the aperture. To be honest, I rarely shoot flowers with that f-stop. Looking at the settings now and remembering the situation, I think I was so cold & wet I didn't pay as much attention to the details as I would normally.

19 Oct 21 Comment Hi Harriet - what a cutie pie, his eyes just draw the viewer in. I like your B&W treatment, it enhances his lush coat. I agree with Barbara and Marcela, this is a great charcoal image and suits him well. Oct 8th
19 Oct 21 Comment Hi Marcela, This is image tells a lovely story and works well in B&W, I like Barbara's suggestion to eliminate the bush. I think simplifying the image as much as possible will draw the eye to the couple (perhaps even clone out the big rock in the water). Oct 8th
19 Oct 21 Reply Hi Marcela, Thank you for the warm welcome to the group. I carry a rain slicker in my car at all times, just in case - I suspect I'll be using it again in the tulip fields next spring! Oct 8th
19 Oct 21 Reply Thank you Stan, I appreciate the suggestion of adding a narrow border. I'll give it a go.
I live in Port Angeles, just to the west of Sequim, it's a little slice of Pacific Northwest heaven.

19 Oct 21 Comment Hi Stan - wow, great job of hand-holding in difficult lighting conditions while capturing the chaos of the forest, the stream and the bride and groom. This may be a great vertical crop; the tree trunk in the top right and some of the greenery on the right can be cropped, while enhancing the impact. Oct 3rd
19 Oct 21 Comment Hi Barbara - What a comfortable and welcoming backyard! I love the way my eye was drawn from the chair down to the ball, then your brother in law and (of course!) the dog. Nice and sharp from front to back. Oct 3rd
19 Oct 21 Comment Hi Norm, Lovely use of light and complimentary colors. The flower is sharp and bokeh soft. Nicely done!

19 Oct 21 Comment Hi John - I like the strong diagonal leading line drawing the eye right to the bird. You captured great feather details in the Cormorant - wonderful contrast to the mud. I like the negative space to the right, but you may want to crop it in a bit to reduce the bright water reflections on the bottom right. Oct 3rd
19 Oct 21 Reply Thank you so much, Barbara. It was a very wet day, but worth getting soaked for this image! Oct 3rd
