The light reflection on the nearest rock formation really draws you into the scene. I wonder if you could bring more cloud structure out of the sky…the colors are beautiful and it looks as though there is "more there". You did a nice job on using HDR, looks natural. For my eye, I would slightly lighten the foreground to capture those lower rock formations. You have a sensor spot in the upper right, which you can easily remove. A striking image. |

Pierre, this looks like you are living in my part of the world! I now live in the farmlands of Iowa and this scene is a part of my winter landscape. I commend you for shooting what many in my camera club would call "ordinary". I think it is a beautiful depiction. I agree with Ellen that the warm tones feel right in this shot. I notice the line of darker ground on the lower edge of the image, and assume it is a natural occurrence, and I think I would lighten it slightly to blend with the rest of the ground. I think you took your time to find the right stand of trees to capture this appealing image. |

Ellen, this is the type of image I am always trying to capture, serene and majestic. I know this area well, as we used to live near Port Ludlow…it is a beautiful spot all times of the year and you captured it well. I am horribly guilty of always shooting in landscape because I sure would love to see more of the view. Great job. |
