great photo, I agree that the crop works better. the spider is nicely focused. the silky threads are a great touch. background is nice with or without smiley face :-). great shot on an iPhone. |

I love the shape. it looks nicely focused. light seems to hit it well to illuminate the spirals. good choice for black background. nice image. |

this mosquito has posed perfectly for you. it looks extremely in focus. green eyes match the green leaf, really nice tones, the wings looks so crisp with good focus especially the 1 wing, legs are in focus. the softness of the leaf focus is fine, expected of a macro and works well. great job. |

agree that how much habitat to keep in is debatable - either is ok with me for this photo... maybe because the fly is so good... most of it looks in focus and you have a good profile to the fly. nice to have that red eye pop some color, background nicely blurred. no stacking , just 1 shot. bravo. |

interesting subject to do. I had to stare at it - it is like those 3 dimensional posters that you have to see the image in the image. I think this is a subject to work in many directions. since it is 3D did you work it so that most forward parts in focus then reverse to see what works best. this is hard to figure out which depth can be the best to view. I fascinating project. I agree with carol that can be hard to see it at first but it is a great project with literally lots of different focal points. |

I love this concept - great creativity! [I agree with Stuart's version].I see your focus point in the center then as you go out it is softer but no big deal. yes if you could stack in such a way to make every level focused that would produce a different "punch" to the photo. the square crop looks good. |
