you are right - got wrapped up in fixing the rest of photo and just accepted that blur as a part of reality - but better to crop it out. |

manual moving focus ring on camera to stack. my camera does not have in camera stacking. |

moth Butterly - close enough , ha ha, I was excited to get a flying object inside the photo in any level of focus. there were some highlights on the moth that I darkened because I am the queen of dark tone :-) |

first, sorry I missed commenting on your photo last month. went on vac/sick.
this flower set up is not hitting me - I can see one water droplet and the asymmetry
is not registering well with me in this instance. green background would work if it was at least covering the left side and got rid of the black hole. there is not enough focus to pull me in. needs stacking. the water droplets are alluring - did they capture too much of your attention :-) |

I immediately dialed in etherial. I did look to see if the center was in focus - looks fine - might have been a bonus if it popped more. the petals and stem look great with alternating shadow and highlights. colors of petal and stem are nice. background is great. the gray with light bouncing off it makes it look like sparkles!!! |

amazing closeness to this insect - I am impressed. I screams highlights to me, I would prefer to downplay highlights. most focused part that I see are the hairs at center bottom. I would like to see more of the face/hairs in focus - it is fine how the back end would drift off out of focus. |

lovely flower, nice splay of petals. first thing I noticed was the missing tip. the green background is good but the black hole on the left bottom makes me want to photoshop a green leaf in there. |

white petals are pretty. there are various places for in focus, I think with overall whiteness any unfocused are almost hidden. I would like to see a tighter crop because the background , even though dark, shows uninteresting items - not green etc so rather not see as much background. |

I do like the crop on the photo - agree makes it look abstract which I like, it makes it more interesting to not see the whole image and wonder what it is. I do think it is mostly unfocus because you have so many repeating lines to consider. I do see individual focused line and hair but it seems you would have to decide to pick the front focus then drift out focus to the back OR focous the middle. but looks like a job for stacking. |

wow, love the image. dragonfly stands out at the head with that 1 flower part, I can see the hairs on the head/belly. even the tail looks great, a little closer loose shows some soft parts. I can see half of the wings in focus then it trail off out focus. it makes nice gradation of focus from head to tail - hardly out of focus at that. you did not say that there was stacking so this is great for a single shot. background is nicely out of focus. blue & green colors make a pleasing photo. |
