love the capture of the bee - head and even 1 wing and antenna looks in focus. I like the position of bee vs petals and part of the center - nice composition. I would lower the highlights in the top right petals and under/front of the bee, triangle and left bottom edge/verticle. I would try to cover highlight on the head and behind head. |

I am ok with the petal out of focus but I feel the need to have the stamen and hairs POP more - more in focus to get an effect from the photo. |

really nice flower - I agree the use of the black background makes it more stunning than original. I would like to see it with all tips of petals showing - I think it looks like the short petal lost its tip - would be more acceptable as short if tip was there. also more darkening on right bottom. if you are stacking then I might like to see the foremost petals in focus also. there is a big highlight on the foremost petal. if the 3 foremost petal came off you would have something that looked like it had wings. |

the frog is gorgeous. it just sat there for you!!! it does look all in focus - only very subtly soft focus as you go down the back/leg which is more than acceptable. vivid colors and the orange eye that POPS. background is nice [you already got the highlight comments]. |

I love this photo. stunning orange and the layer upon layer looks sharp to me - can see the "veins" in the petals. I like the crop. nice shadows in between petals.
stack by hand - ok I have done the turning of the lens [5-10 x maybe] by hand but 72 times? I don't yet know about motorized rails and device plug in to camera - if you / stuart would like to elaborate. Helicon is a program then it has a devise plug in. I am using Lightroom then photoshop. |

the image cleaned up nicely from the original to the Topaz adjusted. very pleasing /soothing green background for the fly. then the fly compliments the green also with the "eye". it is so hard to get a decent photo of these flying creature! the fly mostly looks blurry to me - maybe the green "eye" is the most focused - would be great if the eye and "shoulder" could be in more focus then it would be fine for the back out of focus. |
