I assume this is alive... which means lucky to get it captured. no tripod, handheld? a little soft on the focus but still have the one spot on body /closet leg looking focused. I am having hard time deciding the white/pink background. it certainly lets you see the dark bug against it but at same time shouts bright/highlights at least in upper part. |

I do like it. I love the texture. red pops over the grey. it works to have the grey fade away out of focus as you go down the length of flower. I will agree iwth background comment of diffusing it more & eliminate white so all attention is on the red popping out. but the green as a background will work well. I think the diagonal view is the best angle for it. |

I like it, it does look mostly in focus. I think you did a good job of lightening the shadow underneath. I don't mind seeing tails instead of heads. if it were me I would have had both views from all 4 sides but then jsut submitting one... if you do have maybe upload that to the discussion. I would get rid of the hot spots on the back.. at least as much as possible. |

Lovely ethereal flower again. vibrant middle colors are beautiful - dead center looks real focused and the outer edges are appropriately a little softer. lightening the shadow was a good idea. the leaves iwth the pink veins are the ethereal effect. I think it would look nice even without a vignette, pink veins are delicate enough not to overpower the middle. handheld - good job! |

This is gorgeous! the focus/clarity of a large portion of the bee and the center of the flower is great ... and no stacking! the cropped one is good - agree to bring more attention to the focused areas. I also like the concept of the uncropped one - I like seeing the blurry leaves extend in a circular motion around the focus center - sure if you had time to adjust all background items that would be great... but bee would fly away. I appreciate how hard it is to chase those bees and get them in focus when they land - and in a single shot! |

I love the choice of subject - the everyday mundane!!! love the texture in the nose [just not the light ring around the nose]. agree to changing the right side or next time take the dog outside to a grass background. would like to see a bit more lighter shadows on the dog's nose/face so I can see the face receding probably blurry but that would be good. |
