I don't think bugs will be my thing. this project did bring up a point. I had the camera on the tripod with my rail adapter. I realized that there was a lot of play in the focus knobs , no way to follow the bug and get it set up quickly. do I just have a cheap rail system - it is a Newer, costs about $70. |

well this is interesting for you. it is quite intriguing. red reflection from car is good. sure I would like to get rid of the highlights on forehead and far arm. your original with the metal extension above the head is actually ok for me... it give is a half circle look and fills the frame nicely and gives it more depth. toms is good too just 2 different aspects. all I can pick out in focus is the cheek and near arm... so I would go with the higher f stop suggestion also. |

good second project, much improved over first. front to middle looking in focus to me. kudos for attempting stacking. I will follow in your footsteps maybe next year. |

the dried petal has such a different look. definetly interesting .. although I am have a hard time figuring it out , looking for my focus point - means it is a good mystery and I am spending time staring at it. what I especially see is texture - it something I might pull out and try as a background on a creative project. |

beautiful flower and buds. love the blue color. I do lean to saying too strong of highlights on the flower. I love the details of the "hairs" on the flower and buds... they look nice and sharp to me all over!!! background is fine with me, diffuse soft pink tone [greyish pink]. I see your lights! |

a nice juxtaposition of life/death. for focus I see middle veins of both leaves in focus then the focus drifts off toward edges which works perfectly for me. eye drawn to the middle. for macro I like see part of it out of focus - making it pleasingly out of focus is the kicker. this works for me. |
