Hi Alan,
Thank you for your nice comment. You're right, I duplicated the background another times in my compositions, I like how a view of the street can change and become a wider canvas that introduces more space to build the composition. |

Hi Peggy,
Thank you for your kind comment. I'm very happy that you like the image. You're right about the suggestion regarding the frame, I tried to keep it very subtle to avoid it becoming a distraction. |

Hi Brad,
Thank you for your comment and suggestions. I was also thinking about removing the third dancer, as she is not very prominent, but in the end I left her because of the interaction between the two dancers. |

Hi Kirsti,
Thank you very much for your lovely comment. I'm glad you like the image. I started the composition with a photo of the street, and after adding a few layers, I decided to mirror it. I'm really glad I did, because after that, all the elements came together beautifully. |

Hi Brad, I really love the soft and muted tonalities in this image. In my opinion, the sky complements the tones of the rocks very well, and the placement of the egret adds balance with the tree. You have integrated all the elements nicely into a very pleasing composition.
If I were to be a bit picky, I might suggest slightly muting the whites of the egret so it blends a little more with the light of the scene. |

Hi Alan, congratulations on creating this image. You managed very well to reshape the cards, creating the feeling that they are floating and dropping out of the actor's hands. I like the soft, muted tonalities in the background and foreground, as they help the details of the cards stand out even more. The replacement of the arm was a very good idea, as the new one completes the scene very well. My only suggestion would be about the size of the actor, perhaps I would make him a little taller. |

Hi Kirsti, I like the detail in the girl's hands and her concentrated expression as she focuses on the floating crystal balls. In my opinion, you have integrated the girl and the balls very well, and the sepia tones work nicely with the subtle light. Selecting hair is always quite a challenge, and in this case you managed it very well while retaining the fine details. |

Hi Peggy, such a beautiful seascape composition. I really love the tonality of the image and how the elements blend together, making me feel as if it's a perfect day for a boat excursion, with a calm sea and birds flying in the sky. Then suddenly a big wave is approaching, changing the feeling to a sense of imminent danger for them.
If I were to be a bit picky, I might suggest slightly blurring the straight line between the calm water and the big wave, as it creates a very obvious separation. |

Hi Denise, thank you for your kind comment and suggestion. I'm really glad you like the image. I truly enjoy exploring around my home and discovering small subjects that often go unnoticed, they feel almost invisible to us until we take the time to look closely. |

Hi Mark, thank you for your comment and suggestions. Now that you and David have pointed them out, I can clearly see that these areas are a bit distracting and draw attention away from the main subject.
These stalks are currently growing on the stone wall in my garden, and I believe they are the blossoms of moss. They are very small, around 5 mm on average, and I took advantage of the rain to capture the water drops as well. |

Hi Mark, you have captured this spider plant in a beautiful way. The dark background isolates the plant perfectly, and the star shape of the leaves is nicely composed within the frame, allowing all the details and colours to be displayed beautifully. |

Hi David, I love your image. The placement of the flowers within the frame is captivating, and the subtle texture of the snow is like the icing on the cake-just the perfect touch. I also like your high-key treatment and the little drops of water on the flowers.
If I were to be a bit picky, I might suggest making the frame slightly larger, as I find the current crop a little tight. |

Hi Marianne, welcome to the group! I like the romantic feeling of this image, which you have captured beautifully and with great detail. The square crop suits the centered composition very well. My only suggestion would be to remove the imperfections on the left petal, as they tend to draw my eye there. |

Hi Denise, you have captured and composed this image very well! I like the texture in the background and its muted tones, which make the group of orchids stand out with beautiful detail and a lovely triangular shape. I also like the way the flowers are placed diagonally in the frame, which makes the composition more dynamic. |

Hi Dick, I absolutely love this image. You've captured an extraordinary interplay between light and shadow that enhances the textures and colours of these flowers in a fantastic way.
If I could suggest anything to improve the image, it would be to add a little more space on the right side and perhaps change the frame colour, as the white frame competes a bit too much with the image. |

Hi Adrian, thank you for your comment. This kind of spider has a curious trait, the front long legs are often held together as a pair. I've noticed this in other similar spiders as well. |

Hi Maria, thank you so much!Once you start looking closely, it's incredible how much diversity and detail there is in the macro world. There's always something new to discover, and I love how it encourages us to slow down and really observe nature. It's such a rewarding experience! |

Hi Karen, thank you for your lovely comment. I really enjoy taking macro images, it's much easier for me to find interesting subjects than, say, finding a lion! Insects are incredibly rich in species, which makes them fascinating to photograph. |

Hi Isaac, such a wonderful place to be and capture the magnificence of the landscape. I like the composition, the river and its graceful S-shape create a path that leads my eye directly to the waterfall.
I find the image has quite a strong HDR effect. Even though it reveals all the details in the shadow areas, I'm not a big fan of this approach, as in my opinion it leaves the image looking a bit flat and lacking in light contrast.
I played a little with the image in Photoshop, darkening some areas to create a bit more depth and contrast. |

Hi Adrian,It must be amazing to be in that setting and be able to capture such beautiful images of the landscape and the whales themselves. While I was living in Sydney, I had the opportunity to see several whales on their way up and down during their seasonal migration. They are stunningly beautiful animals.
I like your edit of the image, which helps reveal the beautiful detail of this pair, and I really appreciate that you were able to capture the interaction between them. |

Hi Maria, the Lilac-breasted Roller is indeed a beautiful bird. Unfortunately, we don't have it here in Spain. I like your crop, which removes some of the empty space and makes the bird more prominent in the frame. I also like the adjustments in light and colour that Bruce proposed. However, I agree that the crop is a bit tight on the right. |

Hi Richard, I really love this image! It makes me think of the Comedy Wildlife competition. The expressions of these two fellows are amazing and remind me of my husband's expression when I tell him something he doesn't like.
The blurred background helps create a nice separation from the pair, but the similar muted tones don't help them stand out as much as they could. I also like Bruce's crop suggestion. I even played a little with the image in Photoshop to try creating a bit more separation. |

Hi Bruce, I feel cold just thinking about being outside in such freezing temperatures. You have captured this bison with very nice detail, allowing us to see the extreme conditions these animals have to face in winter. The colour and sharp detail in the animal's fur help to isolate it nicely from the background. |

Hi Adrian, thank you for your comment. I know modern software is a great tool to help reduce the noise that high ISO can introduce in images, and some camera models handle it better than others. Even so, I'm always a bit concerned because, in my opinion, it's not just about the noise, it's also about the potential loss of detail, especially in the birds' feathers. |

Hi Sanat, you're lucky to live in a country with such a wonderful variety of wild birds. This image beautifully showcases a large group of lesser ducks enjoying the sun by the riverside. I appreciate that you included the environment to give us an idea of their habitat, though I agree with the previous comments that a tighter crop could help focus more on the ducks themselves. |
