Hi Brad,
I always admire the way you blend all your elements together, and I like how the reflections, the campfire, and the constellation create a triangle that holds the composition, with a beautiful starry sky as the perfect background.

Hi Alan,
Thank you for your comment. I agree with you that the images I chose are someone else's art, and as you said, it is difficult to find subjects every month to create different and creative images. I try to do the best I can, and considering that the subjects were statues, I am happy to have transformed them in a way that creates my own image.
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. |

Hi Brad,
Thank you so much for your kind comment, I'm really pleased that you like the image. I was quite happy with the way all the elements came together, and when I converted it to black and white, it felt like the right choice for the image.

Hi Peggy, I like the way you have placed the elements, creating a realistic vortex in which everything is happening. The placement of the birds contributes to the sense of movement, and the man acts as an observer of the scene, close enough to be able to turn around or move towards the epicentre. I agree with Alan's comment that the feet break up the line where he is standing. Overall, the image is well managed, and the colours are tightly brought together beautifully.
Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year for you and all your family and friends. |

Hi Mark,
What a lovely image, with such vibrant colours and nice detail on the pollen and petals. I like David's crop, it enhances the flower even more and helps focus on the details without any distractions.

Hi Denise,
Thank you for your comment. I didn't notice that detail on the leaves. To clarify what happened, I think the overexposure in the image blew out some of the detail and colour on the leaves, which explains their white appearance.

Hi Dick,
Thanks for the information and for correcting the name of this flower. I like teasels, and I'm very lucky to have many around my house, as I am now living in a countryside area that provides me with many opportunities to capture nice shots.

Hi David,
Thank you for your comment, and I'm happy that you like the image. The sky was indeed grey, but I overexposed slightly when I took the shot because I had a high-key image in mind. The editing helped to lighten it a bit more, resulting in a white background.

Hi David,
I love your image; you have managed the lighting beautifully, bringing out a wonderful amount of detail and texture in the leaf. Even though I like it very much, I find that I prefer the background of your original image without texture, as the textured background competes with the detail and texture of the leaf. Very well done!

Hi Denise,
I love wildflowers, and I like your image very much. The nice bokeh and the selective focus on the centre of the flower create a beautiful harmony between the sharp details and the soft, dreamy areas.

Hi Barbara,
I always like the vibrance of the colours and the texture of these dry flowers. They last for years without losing their beauty. You have captured the flower beautifully, with plenty of detail, and the composition also works well for me. I like what Denise has suggested regarding the background colour, although I don't find anything wrong with the original colour, which also complements the flower nicely.

Hi Dick,
I like the way the early frost allowed you to capture a very different image of this rose, with beautiful texture and colours that stand out nicely against the blurred background.

Hi Adrian,
What a lovely sunset you have captured! I like the fact that the silhouette of the mountain is centered in the frame and surrounded by the beautiful sunset colours. This image has great visual impact due to the silhouette and the colours.

Hi Maria,
Lovely image! You have enhanced the light and colours very well in the editing. I agree that a bit more space on the right would create more room for the lion's eye direction. This image is a wonderful snapshot of Africa.

Hi Richard,
What a lovely image! I really like the position of the wings-you've captured the moment beautifully. There is plenty of detail on the bird that stands out nicely against the beautiful blurred background. I also like Isaac's crop, which enhances the bird even more.

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your nice comment. I'm glad that my shots inspire you to get out and take some macro photos. I really enjoy photographing the little bugs, especially early in the morning when they are less active and you can find dew drops on them.

Hi Isaac,
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I like the amount of light you gave to the mosca, it really makes a difference. I agree with you about increasing the number of shots to capture all the details of the flower. Usually, my camera is set to 10 shots to avoid creating too many files, but I've found that depending on the shape of the subject, 10 shots are sometimes not enough.

Hi Cindy,
I love the interaction between them, and I also like seeing them centered in the frame. I think you did well with the crop, and I agree that bringing out more detail in the darker areas of the birds could have revealed even more about their behaviour.

Hi Cindy,
Thank you for your lovely comment. I agree with you that photographing white birds is quite difficult, which is why I prefer doing it on overcast days, it allows me to manage the exposure better without blowing out the white feathers.

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you like the image. It wasn't easy for me to get the shots on this trip, the sea conditions weren't favourable, and I even got seasick despite taking some medication.

Hi Adrian,
What a beautiful bird-my first time seeing one! This year, I went out on two pelagic trips for the first time and realized how difficult it is to get close shots of these seabirds, as well as to keep them in the frame due to the movement of the sea and the boat. You managed very well to capture all the details of this bird, even from a distance, and retain them despite heavy cropping. I also like the colour of the sea; as Cindy said, it's perfect for the tropics.

Hi Steve,
I don't have these kinds of birds here in the north of Spain, but I really enjoyed seeing them during my last visit to my daughter in NC last spring. I like the framing and the bird against the white background-it really helps it stand out against the branches. The seed in its beak is a nice touch, and I agree that a bit more luminosity on the bird could help it stand out even more.

Hi Sunat,
Greatly timed capture that showcases the fishing behaviour of this bird. The sunset light frames the egret beautifully, and I love the water reflection. I do agree that the blue cast is a bit strong, and perhaps I would crop a little of the space at the bottom of the image.

Hi Jerry,
The mud creates a sufficiently dark background to beautifully enhance the white feathers of the egret, while also giving us some information about the environment where this bird lives.
It's a nice image, and you've very well controlled the highlights-not an easy task with white feathers that can easily blow out.
