54 Sep 25 Reply Hi Brad,
I'm glad you like the image, and thank you for your suggestion. I agree with you, it may be a bit dark.

54 Sep 25 Reply Hi Peggy,
I like that everyone finds the image cohesive and that they get the feeling of danger and speed, which was my goal in creating it. I can see what you pointed out about the arch and the shape, I think it's the result of motion blur over some dirt in the tunnel. As you said, it can be removed easily.

They really caught my attention, and putting it all together was great fun. I'm glad you like the result, thank you for your comment.

54 Sep 25 Reply Hi Kirsti,
I'm glad the image conveys a sense of movement, that was one of the main challenges in creating it.When I saw the figures immediately they caught my attention, and I knew right away they would be great elements for a composite.

54 Sep 25 Reply Hi Matt,
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. It really is a fun image with the right elements for it, and I'll definitely consider turning the cigarette lady a bit.

54 Sep 25 Comment Hi Brad,
I can see the fun in creating this image. When I play with mirror images, I'm always surprised by the patterns and different points of view that the mirror reveals. I clearly see the shape of a bottle, and placing the colorful flower inside feels like placing hope in an environment dominated by human creations that have ended in decay.

The play between black and white works well to reinforce the idea and strengthen the visual impact. If I had to point out something, I might suggest cleaning up the small spots around the trunk near the flower, as they tend to draw my eye away from the main subject.

54 Sep 25 Comment Hi Alan,

This image has an exquisite resemblance to old photographs, and it beautifully conveys a sense of life. The house and the carriages tell a lovely story, and I really like the muted tones. I do agree, though, that adding a bit more saturation to the carriages could help them stand out more from the background. I also agree with Peggy's suggestion about a tighter composition.

You did a great job putting it all together.

54 Sep 25 Comment Hi Kirsti,

You've created a dreamy image. The beautiful trees and their reflections are nicely complemented by the misty atmosphere that the texture adds. The swans are well placed on both sides, which helps balance the composition rather than concentrating everything on one side, while my eye naturally follows the tree line.

I understand that you wanted to keep the mildew stain of the wallpaper, showing it as a dreamlike line that separates dream from reality. I find the idea quite remarkable, and the story behind the image is truly heart-touching.

Congratulations on this image, it carries such a powerful story.

54 Sep 25 Comment Hi Matt, what a lovely image! I like the way you've created a visual point that draws us into the scene. I can almost feel myself standing in front of the open window, watching the couple walk toward the vineyard. I agree that the blurred vegetation is a bit distracting, since both the foreground and background are in clear focus. If I were to be a bit picky, I would suggest playing with the reflections on the window glass, as they don't quite correspond with the outside scene. Sep 20th
54 Sep 25 Comment Hi Peggy, I really enjoy this image! When I walk on beaches, I'm always looking for sand patterns that resemble trees, and you've found some wonderful ones to create these forms. The elements have blended beautifully, resulting in a truly eye-catching image. I like how you brought the focus to the textures and reliefs, enhancing their strength and detail. Sep 20th

Thank you for your kind comment. The beautiful color of the geranium caught my attention against the dark greens at that moment near sunset.

Thanks for your comment and suggestion. I will illuminate that area a bit to create more separation from the background, it could make a real difference.

65 Sep 25 Comment Hi Mark,
I haven't seen such a strong color in a sunflower before, it's so beautiful! As Barbara said, "the flower is on fire." You really did a great job capturing all the intricate details of the flower's shape. Even so, I agree with Dick about the crop and rotation; I find that it gives the image more visual impact.

65 Sep 25 Comment Hi David,
I like the simplicity and the detail in the shape of this air plant. The conversion to black and white suits it perfectly, and the black background beautifully enhances the plant. You did a great job with this image.

65 Sep 25 Comment Hi Barbara,
Dahlias are such a wonderful subject because of their wide variety of shapes and colours. I really like the simplicity of your composition and the deep red, which contrasts beautifully with the light pink. I also agree with the comments about the light and the use of a reflector, as well as the suggestion to darken the background a little.
I didn't receive any notification from the server this month. I usually get your comments, but not this time.

65 Sep 25 Comment Hi Dick,
You really captured the spirit of the tomato family in this image. The great detail, along with just enough of the environment to place them in context, without distracting from the main tomato family, works beautifully.

72 Sep 25 Reply Hi Isaac,
I used to have a much steadier pulse than I do now, but I can still manage to keep it sharp enough. Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I should try focus stacking next time to get both the grass and the fly in sharp focus.

72 Sep 25 Reply Hi Richard,
Thank you for your kind comment and suggestion. Increasing the magnification could indeed improve the visual impact of this little fly.

72 Sep 25 Comment Hi Isaac,
Beautiful capture of this squirrel monkey enjoying that juicy fruit. The detail is excellent, and I love that you caught the light in its eyes along with its little tongue. It's just a pity that the tree branch draws some attention, if the little monkey had embraced it instead of being behind it, the image would have been perfect.

72 Sep 25 Comment Hi Adrian,
You had a wonderful trip to that area, and it was clearly rewarded with this image, which beautifully illustrates the interaction between the penguins and showcases their environment. You also did a great job in editing, enhancing the penguins effectively.

72 Sep 25 Comment Hi Maria,
Such a beautiful capture of the Monarch butterfly! You did a great job with the background, which isolates the butterfly nicely, while the white flowers add a touch of interest. I also agree with Isaac, his suggested crop enhances the butterfly even more.

72 Sep 25 Comment Hi Richard,

You captured this shot at the perfect moment, and your crop effectively increases the impact and enhances the story. The patterns and colours on the water are lovely, and the action is captured beautifully.

72 Sep 25 Comment Hi Karen,
I always try to get closer to these birds, even lying on my stomach, to capture them at eye level, it makes a big difference and results in a more engaging image. I like the soft tones and the inclusion of the other bird in the blurred background, which creates a sense of the bird in its environment. The detail on the main bird is excellent.

72 Sep 25 Comment Hi Bruce,
This image is a dream, I absolutely love it! The fox's pose is perfectly balanced by the touch of vegetation, and it stands out beautifully against the clean white background without any distractions. As I mentioned, I would love to have this image in my collection.

91 Sep 25 Comment Hi Cindy,
Great capture of this snowy egret dancing on the water in such beautiful light! You managed the exposure really well, not an easy task with a white bird. The pose and the patterns in the water created by its movement are stunning.

91 Sep 25 Comment Hi Adrian,
Such a beautiful bird and wonderful behaviour you've captured! The combination of light and patterns in the background really frames both the bird and the grapes, and the fact that it has a grape in its beak is just the icing on the cake. Beautifully done!

91 Sep 25 Comment Hi Steve,
I would love to have some of these birds around! Here in the north of Spain there are some close cousins, but I've never seen one of these. It's a lovely capture, and the title is just perfect. Great detail in both the bird and the tree trunk.

91 Sep 25 Comment Hi Sanat,
Very nice capture of this pair of stilts, the detail is excellent, and the red eye really draws attention. I agree with the other comments that adding a bit more space in front of the birds and at the bottom could further improve the composition.

91 Sep 25 Comment Hi Jerry,
Great capture of the moment when the seagull is shaking off the excess water. I really enjoyed trying to capture a similar moment when I was photographing the little terns in Sydney. You caught it at just the right time, you can even see a small spurt of water coming out of its beak.
