Hi Kirsti,
Thank you for your kind comment and suggestion. As I mentioned to Brad, my initial idea was to keep it simple, but I ended up adding another tree on the right, which I agree isn't really contributing much to the story.

Hi Brad,
Thank you for your kind comment and suggestion. Initially, I had the idea of including only one tree on the left, but along the process, I ended up placing another tree on the right. I agree with your observation, it might not be adding much to the image.

Hi Brad,
What a great idea! I really like the concept, and I think it could work even better if you added an element that highlights the scale of the small people cleaning the stairs. That would help make the story easier to grasp. Otherwise, the image is really well done! |

Hi Alan,
Great story in this image, and an exquisite tone mapping treatment. The dramatic sky is a nice addition, and the colours work very well together. My only concern is the size of the house, as Brad mentioned, it feels out of proportion in terms of perspective, which gives the impression that something is not quite right.
I took the liberty of playing a bit with your image and modified the size of the house. I hope you don't mind!

Hi Kirsti,
You've created a compelling story here. I really like the background with the nets, it adds a great atmosphere to the image. You've successfully drawn attention to your subject by placing him in the centre and desaturating him, which creates an interesting tension with the colourful areas on the left and right-something I really liked.
You mentioned having trouble with the flames, so I took the liberty of experimenting a bit. I selected one of the colourful areas and used it to replace the flames, applying some transform tools, motion blur, and liquify to blend it in. To reduce visual competition, I also cropped the image slightly, keeping the illusionist as the clear main character in the scene.

Hi Peggy,
You've captured a beautiful spring spirit in this image! The colours evoke the feeling of spring, and the fine lines of the face stand out nicely. I like the positioning of the spirit looking at the flower; however, I would suggest making the spirit more prominent than the flower to better convey the grandeur of spring spreading across the flower field.

Welcome to the group, Mark!
I really like the simplicity of this flower, combined with the amount of detail you've captured. The colour is so beautiful, it draws attention to all the intricate details in the petals and the central stem, which I truly appreciate.

Hi David,
I love this flower for its intricate design, it makes for such a beautiful yet challenging subject to photograph. I really like your image and the detail you've captured in the flower. The addition of the spider adds interest and complements the flower beautifully. I also appreciate how you've enhanced the blur and dreamy background, it really makes the flower stand out even more.

Hi Barbara,
I really like the contrasting colours that complement the flower so well, and the falling petal creates a lovely diagonal line. A beautiful composition with vibrant colours!

What a lovely image of the bleeding hearts! You've really mastered the capture with a beautifully blurred background, great detail in the flower, and colours that complement the image nicely.

Hi Karem,
Thank you for your comment! I really like bees too. Sometimes they're so busy-just like the background where they're working, that it becomes difficult to get a clear, nice shot because of their constant movement from one side to another. |

Hi Isaac,
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I'll definitely try to capture another shot with the bee more exposed, but what I really liked about this one was the detail of the pollen on the bee's body.

Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. I agree with you; eye contact could have elevated the story in this shot. I have to confess, though, that I'm still getting familiar with the camera's focus system, and the bee was just a bit faster than me! I was happy to at least catch it in sharp focus.

Hi Isaac,
I really like the story you've captured in this image, the bird with the iguana's skin in its beak says it all. I also appreciate that you chose to show only part of the iguana's body; for me, it's just enough to complete the story.

Hi Adrian,
You were lucky to be there at just the right moment, it gave you the opportunity to capture this excellent shot of the migration. The composition, detail, and editing all work together beautifully to deliver a powerful image. The black and white version highlights the drama of the moment perfectly, but I found myself really drawn to the golden tones of the colour version, as they make the dust in the air more noticeable and add a unique atmosphere.

Hi Maria,
I've never seen this variety of Ibis before, it has truly beautiful colours! You've captured plenty of detail in its feathers and a lovely pose. The background is clear enough not to interfere with the bird while still providing context about its environment. I'd agree with Richard's suggestion that the crop might be a bit tight for the bird, giving it a little more space could enhance the overall composition.

Hi Richard,
Your patience really paid off, you captured the action at the perfect moment! The detail of the bird's beak full of wood is fantastic, and the fact that it hasn't even opened its wings yet adds to the story. Regarding the crop, I agree that trimming a bit of the empty space on the left could help focus attention even more on the bird.

Hi Karen,
You've captured a lovely giraffe with an interesting pose and a beautifully soft, blurred background. However, I have to agree with the other comments, the upper area of the background doesn't add much to the image, and cropping it would help focus more attention on the giraffe.

Hi Bruce,
What a wonderful capture! I love the action in the image, and the detail in the fish's eyes and the bear's claws is impressive. My only suggestion to make it even more impactful would be to crop the green area at the top of the background, this would help draw even more focus to the bear and the amazing moment you've captured. |

Hi Cindy,
I love swallows, but they're incredibly fast, so capturing them in a nice pose with good detail is always a great achievement. I really like the colours and the detail you've captured, beautifully complemented by the blurred background. Nice shot!

Hi Adrian,
Parakeets are such funny birds with fascinating social interactions. I really like the pose and colours you've captured, along with all the detail. I agree with the suggestion to remove the vertical stick, even though it's blurred, it still draws my attention away from the birds. |

Hi Sanat,
What a great moment you've captured in this image! The snake wrapped around the bird's beak really elevates the story. I also agree with the other comments about the crop,I would suggest reducing a bit of the space on the right, as well as toning down the warm colour cast on the bird.

Hi Bruce,
This image has great visual impact thanks to the close-up of the owl's eyes, their colour contrasts beautifully against the grey feathers. However, including the harried hawks surrounding it could have told a different story. Still, it's a great image with lovely detail!

Hi Jerry,
It's always great to capture more than one species interacting, that kind of scene gives us more insight into their routines and environment. You caught them in lovely poses, and the colours and detail are beautiful. Including just three in the image also adds interest, as it's often said that odd numbers tend to work better visually than pairs.
