46 Jan 24 Reply Hi Jack, Thank you for your comment. I celebrate that you like this image Jan 29th
46 Jan 24 Comment The beauty of this Peacock is extraordinary, and you have presented it beautifully, Marilyn. The eye is sharp, and soft yellow and pink contrast nicely with the overall white of the image. My only suggestion is to lighten the Peacock's head a bit and darken the left side of the image slightly, as the luminosity on that side draws attention.

46 Jan 24 Comment Hi Xiao, this is a beautiful capture and it definitely, looks like the bird is posing for you. Your enhancements in lighting, contrast and tonality, in union with the crop that you applied, make this shot a beautiful rendition.

46 Jan 24 Comment Hi Silvia, Roseate Spoonbills are a nicely coloured birds. I haven't had the chance to photograph one as we don't have them in Australia. You have captured many of features of this bird in a nice pose, setting it within its environment with nice detail. I would only suggest having a bit more separation between the bird and the background.

46 Jan 24 Comment Hi Jack, You have captured this Black Skimmer at the right moment, achieving a nice pose that creates a very dynamic image.
The colours work beautifully, and the red legs and beak contrast nicely with blues and emerald of the water.
The pose and the captured moment of fishing elevate this image, making it a great shot.

46 Jan 24 Comment Hi Richard, you have captured the Hooded Merganser nicely, the contrast that the dark water creates enhances the Merganser in a great way, and the light is also very well managed. The image is finished with the right crop. Nice capture!

54 Jan 24 Reply Hi Peggy,
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. The sky texture is actually the pattern of the museum glass window. I took the photo from the inside out, and I really liked the linear pattern.

54 Jan 24 Reply Hi Aavo, I really appreciate your comment, thank you. Jan 20th
54 Jan 24 Reply Hi Brad, thank for you comment, I agree that most of the times "less is more", but the imagination usually doesn't have barriers that enclose the creativity. While the background is a bit busier than the foreground, I appreciate the contrast it introduces into the scene. Jan 20th
54 Jan 24 Reply Hi Alan, I always appreciate your thoughtful comments. You are right, humanity hasn't changed much, and these figures carry a strong human identity in their bodies. However, at the same but at the same time, I belive that the future could be millions of years apart. Who knows what the future will bring to humanity.

54 Jan 24 Reply Hi Kirsti, thank you very much for your lovely comment, I really appreciate it. Since the moment that I saw this sculpture in the museum I though about using it in a composed scene. Jan 20th
54 Jan 24 Comment Hi Brad, this image reminds me of some of the sunrises here on the Northen beaches, where I search for compelling rock compositions complemented with by dinamic water flow and beautiful pinks in the sky. You have blended all the elements nicely, the water movement contrast with the static rocks in a fantastic way.
I fully agree with Peggy about the need for cohesion in the overall colour scheme of the image.

54 Jan 24 Comment Hi Alan, My first though when I saw this image was that it bears some similarity to the daily routines of a circus, where acrobatic exercises are mixed with people and animals cohabiting in a rich lifestyle. I find that all the elements are well balanced and placed thoughtfully, creating a dinamic scene. I prefer your original version too.

54 Jan 24 Comment Kirsti, your have created an image full of symbolism. The concept of traveling through time is well presented, and in my opinion, the scale and perspective work effectively. I also appreciate the suggestion of introducing an older version of the girl. The idea of the time tunnel is very well represented by the rings. My suggestion is about the light in the egg cup in the foreground, I seems a bit bright and has different colour cast compared to the warmed tones on the girl

54 Jan 24 Comment Hi Aavo, I totally agree with the other comments about your imagination, you always find fantastic way to present your images, and it certainly shows in this one as well. The way that the pelicans are placed in line and the introduction of the tropical cartoon bird really make the image. I am not sure about the flying bird, perhaps I would follow the Kirsty's suggestion and place the flying pelicans in the corner

54 Jan 24 Comment Hi Peggy, I also love the Aavo's tittle, I think it is perfect for the image. I really enjoy the body language and the connection between the chimp and the lizard. The scenario is great, and the colours are warm and inviting, creating a sense of hope for the future. My only suggestion is regarding the area around the chimp's head which appears to have a white or lighter colour.

65 Jan 24 Reply Hi Diana, I really like Dick' suggestions and recommendations, they make the image stand out even more. Bees are particularly attracted to lavender flower, so if you pay attention, I'm sure you'll find then, and you can capture some beautiful images.

65 Jan 24 Comment Hi Melanie,
I love these flowers, they always remind me of dancers.
The background. colour complements the colours of the flowers. The portrait crop enhances the image, making the main flower stand out even more. I also agree with the other suggestions.

65 Jan 24 Comment Hi Diana, I love sunflowers, and I find that they develop very interesting textures as they dry. Your image is a great example of the beauty of these flowers, even when they are close to drying out. You have done a great job with the composition and detail. I particularly like the curved stem and the placement of the flower. Perhaps adding some light tho the center of the flower could enhance the image even more. Additionally, It would be an excellent subject for a monochrome conversion.

65 Jan 24 Comment Hi Dick, this is a great image, the light, the detail and colours complement each to other to create a very nice overall effect. From time to time, I also enjoy taking shots of flowers or seeds at home, and it's not easy to manage all the parameters to produce an interesting image like this.

72 Jan 24 Reply Hi Barbara, I was surprised by the number of squirrels in my daughter' street. I suppose it's because the abundance of food with all the nut trees in the area. Thank you for the comment.

Hi Isaac,
I also appreciate your explanations about different nature subjects. You captured a nice moment of interaction between the two zebras, and at the same time, you show their environment without interference and good separation from the zebras. I hope to have the chance one day to enjoy them in their own environment, as I have only seen them in a zoo

72 Jan 24 Comment Hi Adrian, this is a great capture, getting it fully out of the water with a nice splash. Like barbara, I also appreciate the kind of smile on the Dolphin.

72 Jan 24 Comment Hi Barbara, it surprises me that you have kangaroos on a ranch in North Caroline. I really like the yin and yang effect in this image , seeing the front and the back at the same time. The detail and clarity of the image are very good, and the separation between the two and the background is great. I also appreciate the catchlight in the eye.

72 Jan 24 Comment Hi Mary, nice capture and well presented image. Certainly, it is amazing how cellphones have become an important tool for photography, often replacing heavier and more expensive cameras.
Jan 20th
72 Jan 24 Comment Hi Bruce, You have captured this vulture in a different pose and managed to get its eye with the bonus of a catchlight. I agree with the suggestion of lighting up the shadows a bit, as it reveals all the details of this bird.
