Hi Lisa, thank you for your comment. I have a great passion for bird photography and it is wonderful when I capture its behaviour through the camera lens.
Birds can exhibit fascinating and diverse behaviors, making them excellent subjects for photography. |

Hi Xiao, Lovely little bird in a nice environment. Your crop works very well and the darken background helps to stand out the bird. My only suggestion is about the light in the bird, in my opinion it looks a little unnatural comparing with the light in the grass. I would recover some shadow in the legs of the bird to blend better with the rest of the image's light. |

Hi Sylvia, you have taken a wonderful family moment. I really like the fluffy feathers of the chicks and the fact that the adult is still showing its season feathers too. Your crop is working well and the detail in the white feathers is quite reasonable, I suggest you to recover detail in the highlights if it is possible. |

Hi Lisa, you have shot this egret just in the perfect wing moment, it shows all the detail in the feathers and the angle of the wings add the dynamic impact to the image. Taken birds in fly are not always easy as they move fast, and the perfect moments are often half in the frame. You manage the image edition very well. |

Hi Alan,
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I appreciate your approach to the image, and it indeed looks beautiful even without the front tree. It truly highlights the image's potential.

Hi Brad,
What a wonderful image you have created this month. I like the colors and the nighttime light setup. The flying bird adds a dynamic element to the image and complements the story. My only suggestion is regarding the blur effect on the bird; I would prefer to see the movement just behind it, like a wake, rather than in front of the wings and neck.
Thanks for your detailed explanation about how you created it.

Hi Alan,
This is a great image and it conveys a lot about the feelings of these two characters: the father at the door and the son somewhat hidden, creating anticipation about what will happen next. My only suggestion is to darken the area around the boy who is facing the wall to enhance the feeling that he is a bit concealed from his father's view.

Hi Brad,
Thanks for your comment and suggestions. I will play with the tree and see what difference it could make, but I really like how it cuts the image, giving you the feeling that you are right there, just behind the tree, looking at the horses in the field.

Hi Kirsti,
You did it again, creating another wonderful story.
I really like the softness of the light and color in this scene. The composition leads the eye directly to the portal and the figure at the end. I really like Peggy's suggestions about adding shadow and a bit of fog.

Hi Peggy,
This is a wonderful image. I love the drama in the sky that introduces the feeling of a stormy day with the girl running to seek shelter. I like Kirsti's suggestion about the panorama cropping; I think it helps to concentrate even more on the scene. The black and white treatment and the use of light are just beautifully done." |

Hi Melanie,
I really like your image. I have always loved Iris flowers. The colours and textures of your background complement the bunch of flowers perfectly. The colors are beautifully delightful, and the composition works well for me. My only suggestion is regarding the bright spot that Dick has mentioned to you; it draws attention due to its brightness.

Hi Diana,
The use of this pink vignette complements the image of your Dahlia. I like your presentation in a square crop, and I think it has a good balance between the flower and the amount of background. I have to agree with Dick and Fran about the shallow depth of field. I don't mind the softness, but I would like to have a clear, sharp focal point to focus on in the first glance before starting to look around.

Hi Fran, As I mentioned to Dick Dahlias make for great subjects!
I love your image because of the intricate S pattern in its petals, I appreciate the crop that emphasizes the center of the flower and highlights all the intricate details. Additionally, I am a fan of the soft look achieved with the lensbaby. |

Hi Marie,
I really enjoy looking for these little creatures among the grasses in the wetland. It's not always easy to capture them well due to the busy background. These images are usually taken with a long lens that allows me to get closer without disturbing the frogs.

Hi Isaac,
What an interesting image, as the others have mentioned, the inclusion of the crocodiles adds a point of tension to the image. The panorama stick was very nicely done, and I understand that in these situations, you don't have many options for points of view, but a lower one would have made this image stand out even more.
Congratulations on your new role as a travel adviser; you will certainly enjoy it. |

Hi Adrian,
You managed to capture this image in great detail. I like how the flying fish stands out and the fact that you can see its predator catching it. The background places them in context, and maybe the image could benefit from a bit more contrast. Otherwise, it's a nice capture.

Hi Marie,
Beautiful shot of this pair of Jays. It's my first time seeing them, and the colors are stunning. You managed the noise and loss of quality very well after applying such a high ISO. I use a Sony camera, and whenever I raise the ISO beyond 1000, the noise and loss of quality become so noticeable that it sometimes ruins the image. I agree that Topaz does a fantastic job removing noise and sharpening the image, but I wish I didn't have to use it. It would mean that cameras could handle low-light situations much better. |

Hi Barbara,
Nice interaction between these two kangaroos. I like the way the older one is holding the young one, and the younger one looks a little afraid. You did a fantastic job in editing this image; the crop works well, and the vignette helps concentrate the attention on the two fellows. My only suggestion is regarding the round platform that is right behind the kangaroo; maybe you can remove it or tone it down to avoid distractions.

I love this version that shows us another way to interpret nature as art. I have never tried this technique, but I think it could be a good exercise for some of my images.
