54 Jun 23 Comment Hi Brad,
I admire your imagination to have the idea to create this image. I was lucky to had the opportunity to visit this place some years ago, an absolutely magic place surrounded by mystery and beauty.
I like the light effect and also the kirsti suggestion about darkening the upper area of the sky. I really enjoy your composition but as the other I am not sure about the bean of light, I played with it and I ended with this other idea.

54 Jun 23 Comment Hi Alan,
congratulations for this image, I really like the play between the light and shadows that defines so well the structure and geometry.
The placement of the man is right to the place where the light is falling on him creating the illusion that he really is descending the stairs. I think that the inclusion of an only person adds the mysterious point to the scene.
I use Nick silver effect in my black and white images i find it is a great software that allows you to adjust the levels to the point that you like.

54 Jun 23 Reply Hi Aavo,
Thanks for your suggestion, when I created this image I was running out time before my trip to Spain so I didn't have enough time to explore different compositions. I will try this one that you suggested and see if it works.

54 Jun 23 Comment Hi kirsti,
I love the way that you have introduce your husband to us!
I like your composition the different figures complement each other with the next creating a beautiful succession of posses.
I like the Peggy's suggestion about the sky it helps to frame even better the figures.

54 Jun 23 Comment Hi Aavo,
I love this ballon floating in the night sky and I really like the addition of the stars.
I think that you did a great job converting a day scene into a night one and my only suggestion could be to darken a little the ballon in the opposite site of the moon creating in this way a soft transition between the moon light and the dark sky

54 Jun 23 Comment Hi Peggy,
I like the way that you experiment with your images.
You have created very dinamic image, I can feel the water movement and the big waves crashing in the boat. I am wondering if I need the upper site of the image with the tall buildings, i think that i would love it more in a panoramic crop excluding the buildings and concentrating in the water movement and the sail boat fronting the adversity.
Regarding the colour palette maybe I would prefer a more darker tones as I am thinking that the boat is in the middle of a storm fighting the big waves and maybe I will reduce the intensity of the greens

65 Jun 23 Reply Hi Jodi,
I am really enjoying my time here in Spain, the end of the Spring and beginning of Summer is a fabulous time to find some wild flowers and insect like butterflies.
Thanks for your comment I also agree with all your suggestions and I will re-edit the image to get it great.
The frame is the Nick collection - image borders, I think it is number seven to achieve the transparency effect you only have to lower the opacity of the filter.

65 Jun 23 Comment Hi Jodi,
I really like your image, you have created a good separation between the flower and the background the addition of texture works great in this image, my only suggestion to improve even more this lovely flower is lower the light in the center of the petals it will help you to recover detail in this area.

65 Jun 23 Comment Hi Melanie,
You did a great job editing your image resulting in a very pleasant close up plenty of detail in this stamens.
My only suggestion is about the right down corner that you have clone, maybe you can achieve better results if you select and area of the upper petal and with a transform tool you place in that area and brush the detail in.

65 Jun 23 Comment Hi Fran,
I love poppies and I really like your composition, your image works very well with the right amount of blur in the background and the nice sharp point of focus in the Poppies.
The only think that takes more attention that i would like is the white flowers down to the right as Dick has already suggested to you to toned it down.

65 Jun 23 Comment Hi Dick,
Thanks for your extensive explanation, learning a lot from it.
I really like this composition the flower between the leaves
It is framed very well creating a nice contrast in colours and adding the right amount of importance to the flower.
I like the effect that the filter introduces to the edges but I will reduce the opacity to made it less prominent and maybe brush out in the center of the leaves.

72 Jun 23 Comment Hi Isaac,
What a lovely couple! I really like the spring season when the couples start to making family plans and you can find some images like this one. Lovely pinks in this spoon bill variety. We don't have them in Australia only the white ones.
The image presents a good contrast between lights and shadows and the pink colour introduces a good separation between the subject and the environment and you have framed them capturing some of the action which results in a very nice image.

72 Jun 23 Comment Hi Adrian,
I will love to find a place like this to capture the beautiful flamingos.
I love your image and I really like the Marie's edition, it gives the final touch to this image creating a very nice contrast in colour and a good separation between the Flamingos and the background.

72 Jun 23 Comment Hi Marie,
You have capture this lovely heron in a very nice pose and you have managed the edition in a great way adding canvas and cropping it creating a nice heron portrait plenty of detail and soft colours. I agree with Isaac about the red colour it is so prominent catching too much attention.

72 Jun 23 Comment Hi Barbara,
Great capture of this green Heron, we call it Night heron in Australia. It is a very shy bird difficult to get in an open space as you did. I like your edition and the crop that you applied to the image. I also agree with Isaac edition but I would like it a less bright as It looks to me a little unnatural otherwise it is a lovely image.

72 Jun 23 Reply Hi Barbara,
I have seen some similar scene some years ago but only with one bee sleeping in a flower. You can't imagine how happy it made me to find these two bees hugging so well placed in the center of this flower.
Thanks for your comment and suggestions I will try a different edition to the image and see which result I like more.

72 Jun 23 Reply Hi Marie,
Thanks for your comment, as you said I don't mind the lack of detail in the flower because for me the main actors are the bees and their sleeping cuddle. I enjoyed enormous the encounter with this cute pair. So interesting behaviour of this insects.

72 Jun 23 Reply Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your comment I will revise the edition and see if some more sharpness could be add to reveal more detail in the flower.

Many thanks for your comment and suggestion I will try to get a little more sharpness with Topaz and see the results.

72 Jun 23 Reply Hi Isaac,
Many thanks for your comments, I agree that the flower could be a little more defined but It was a compromise between the deep of field and the low light and the lens. with a macro lens I could have had a greater magnification of the center of the flower showing a greater detail of the bees and less detail of the flower but I didn't bring it with me to Spain.

72 Jun 23 Comment Hi Bruce, you have capture these sibling foxes in a very nice and effective way. You show us the cuteness of this pair and we feel instantly an emotional attach to them. The technical aspects have been masterfully done showing the proper sharpness of this pair and with a good separation from the blurred background.
I hope that soon they can recover the number of specimens and you can continue to enjoy an encounter like this with them.
