Hi Kirsty, I am glad that you like it and thanks for your comment. Yes the filters that I have used are from Topaz studio 2 as I have said to Alan I add a look in Buzsim and Expression a very low opacity and in this case I think that it is applied to all the image but if you only want to add to some area you can use a layer mask and remove it in the areas that you don't want. |

Hi Alan sorry me for the delay in my response. The painting effect was done in Topaz studio 2, in the top right of the page is this section that say add look. Then you can choose between all of those different filters. I this case I chose Buzsim and Expressionism in a low opacity because i don't like that it appears very strong and you can also play with the different blending modes to get different results.
Thanks for your comment I really appreciate it |

Hi Brad, what a fantastic idea to create a self portrait. I congratulate you for be brave and keep the sunset. It works very well as background and the surfer close the image introducing the idea that is in your mind. You are very clever finding this idea and the edition is very nicely done. |

Hi Alan, I really like your idea and it is a very good exercise to create all of this squares and give them the perspective that results in a natural look, the people add an extra dimension and the funny point in the composition.
The only problem I see is that people still look like cut and stuck, in my opinion they need to be a little more integrated with the rest of the lights
Thanks for your explanation about how you did it |

Hi Kirsti, I love your firebird, It had to be fun to be taking photos at night and got so nice image.
Don't worry for the third element, it works as it is and the beauty of your firebird fill the whole space in the frame.

Hi Aavo, you has presented a nice idea about stopping the time framed with this beautiful shop, the clock and the wolf, I agree with the suggestion of Alan about the shadows you will need to understand how it works and with the Peggy suggestion about the WB in the wolf.
Every time that you add an element to your image you can applied a levels layer that only affect to this element to match the light with the rest of the image and when you have all the elements in place you can apply an average blur filter in soft light blending mode to hold the colour together. |

Hi Peggy, As Alan has said, you have create an image that replicate the moment when wind blow away the petals of this sunflower.Your textures work as if the wind really was there, I like the Alan's suggestion about it.
Otherwise the colours and the twist of the flower work well |

Hi Russel, this is a beautiful bouquet that encourages experimentation by looking for different compositions. I like your image as it is but I agree with Melanie that including a little more of the piano could add to the story.
Great image!

Hi Jodie, welcome to the group!
I really like your edition placing a black background that enhance perfectly the shape and colours of the flower.
I also enjoy your composition and for me it has the enough amount of deep of field as I can see the centre detail and texture.
If I were you I will clone the deep leaf that is between the green leaf and the small flower, otherwise your image is wonderful. |

Hi Melanie, I don't feel disappointed with your conversion to black and white, I think it helps to concentrate in the shapes and details of the flower. The degree of hight exposure works in a very beautiful way giving it a soft touch.
I would like to see a little more sharpness in the petal of the foreground because I found the blur a little distracting otherwise I like your capture and edition. |

Hi Fran, I love to take photos of flowers when they start to present signs of decay. I found this moment more rich in textures and story telling.
The natural light enhance in a beautifully way your flower and the texture that you use to the background match with your rose. |

Hi Al, I hope you are recovering fast and you feel much better now.
I like to take shots of still life and the hardest part to me is to create an effective composition, Last year I did one of the courses that PSA offer in Still life. I learned so much and I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. My next goal will be the lighting in still life for sure.
Your edition works well enhancing the colours and details of the flowers. I also like more your image without the little elements, in my opinion they don't add much to the image.

Hi Isaac, this snake has a beautiful colour and you have captured it in a magistral way, revealing all the detail in the scales and also with the plus of showing the tongue. Composition and background work very well too.
I really like the story in the second image where the wasp and the snake are in a close dialog. |

Hi Barbara, you have captured a beautiful image while you have enjoying the day. It is a curious thing I found that this year there are less birds around here too. I don't know what could be the reason.
The image is beautiful and sharp, the composition reveals all the details of the feathers and the eye so sharp. |

Hi Mary, what interesting image you have created! Vultures are amazing birds, they are always in my list.
The composition works well showing the adult and the chicks as a family. I agree with the crop suggestion it removes distractions. |
