54 Oct 22 Reply Many thanks Kirsti, I like the two images too. I was happy with my monster but I agree that it could distract from the idea of the image. Oct 22nd
54 Oct 22 Reply Hi Kirsti, many thanks for your comment and I agree with Alan and you about the monster. I think I am happy now with this other version. Oct 9th
54 Oct 22 Reply Many thanks Alan for your comment and your suggestion. I was working in the image removing the effect of the mirror that created the monster. It was fun to put it all together. Oct 9th
54 Oct 22 Comment Hi Alan, your inspiration made a fantastic work finding the elements for this composition, I agree with Kirsti about the posture of the man, I really get the feeling of indecision in it. Might the labor could be working a little more in the final touches of the image. I have played a little with the lights and darkening a bit some areas to create a more strong feeling of a night moment Oct 9th
54 Oct 22 Comment Hi Kirsti, you have a beautiful idea putting together this portrait and the storm cloud, I think it works very well and the twist of his mouth gives to him another look. I like also the blue tone compliment the image. Well done!

54 Oct 22 Comment Hi Aavo, great idea and beautiful sunset. I agree with Alan and Kirsti about the bulb might it need a little more of work. I can suggest to you that it need to look more three dimensional. I f you take a look of your original bulb you can find how the light and shadows work. I took it to a fast lightening and darkening and this could give to you and Idea to work Oct 9th

65 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Fran for your lovely comment, I agree with you about the dead petal, I've removed part of it but I should have removed all the dead petal. Oct 22nd
65 Oct 22 Reply Hi Al,I usually applied one o more textures that I have in my library and then I play with the different blending modes( screen and soft light are my favourites) and with opacity, I also brush away the excess texture in the areas where I don't want it to look so prominent.
Sometimes I give it one last touch in Topaz studio where a low opacity impression filter was also applied.
When I apply textures to my flower images I am looking for a soft background colour and no for a strong texture.
Oct 22nd
65 Oct 22 Reply You are lucky to have this beautiful dahlias that in your garden I found a long the years that Dahlias in pots never develop well I don't know why but apparently they like more the ground. Oct 9th
65 Oct 22 Comment Hi Russell, Your image is beautiful. The colours complement very well one with other and your composition is nice. I can suggest something to improve it may I flip horizontal the image and to create a little more separation between the flower and the background you can add a gaussian blur to soften the background. Oct 8th
65 Oct 22 Reply Hi Melanie, many thanks for your comment and your suggestion I will try with some blue blending to see what is the result. Oct 8th

72 Oct 22 Comment Hi Mary, your image is a great capture of the Grand Canyon, you were very lucky with the light and your editing enhance it so well. It's been almost twenty five years since I made a trip to the Grand Canyon and your image brings back happy memories of that trip. Oct 22nd

72 Oct 22 Comment Hi Adrian, your image of this bufflehead is beautiful, lovely angle and reflection and you have the plus of the water drops.
I agree with Isaac that you can recover some detail in your highlights and also I suggest dark a little the reflection to give more importance to the duck

72 Oct 22 Comment Hi Marie, I love waterfalls and I really enjoy your image. I think you have captured it very well considering your position and the sunny day. I love the mist on the top and the smoothness in the water. I think that you did a great job capturing it. Personally I found that the better days to capture waterfalls are the cloudy ones as you can play more without the strong light contrast of the sun Oct 8th
72 Oct 22 Comment Beautiful capture Barbara, love the interaction between the tree alligators, the light is beautiful and my only suggestion is about if you can illuminate a little more the three boys to get more separation with the background. Oct 8th
72 Oct 22 Comment Hi Bruce, what a lovely image that you have captured, love your low point of view and the action. The tones and the reflection look fantastic and really complement the capture. Oct 8th
72 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Isaac for your comment, I think that Bruce have done a good edition of the eye that I will implement in the photo.
The exit data of this is 1/640 sec at f 6.3 ISO 1000 shooting at 400 mm
