Hi Brad, many thanks for your comment and ideas. I agree with you the bird doesn't work very well. May I start again using the concept with your ideas and see what happens. |

Hi Brad, Lovely image that you have created, really enjoy it.
I like the kirsti suggestion about the glow in. the flame and I love your composition what I might to change is the prominence of the background that in my taste takes a lot of the attention. May I blur it a little.
With your permission I was playing a little and I create a new version follow your idea It was a very fast cut and paste I missed the butterfly legs :( |

Hi Alan, your image is beautiful, colour tones invite us to the happiness of the moment. Also the butterfly wings transport us to a fairy tale. I agree with Brad about the shadows I find it a bit harsh, it could help to apply to them a little of gaussian blur to softness and to shade off. Well done! |

Hi Kristi, I really like your image. Your original with the artefacts is wonderful and the combination with the net works beautiful. I like the tonality also. The fishermen I found that he needs a little more work to settle in the scene. The light is in the opposite side as I understand that the artefacts add the light to the image. I would dark the fisherman side and maybe I find the stones a little too prominent. I would blur them a little too. Hope it helps you to master this image. |

Hi Aavo, you have created a very funny image that relates to the relationships between siblings quite well.
Technically it has more room to work in, I can suggest that you use the levels tool to better merge the tonality of the elements and maybe a little more shade behind the girls could make you feel that they are really in place.
Well done!

Hi Peggy, I really like your image. I find that you have put all together in a magistral way. I never use the fill slide when I apply textures, it could be something to me to explore.Well done! |

Hi Russel, your Coneflower is beautiful but I agree with the other members about the crop. I find the foreground a bit busy and it takes attention away from the flower. If I can suggest something to improve this would be to use a more open wide f stop when you are in front of a subject with such a busy background. This will help blur the background and no make it so prominent. Also you can bring a piece of white cardboard and place behind to isolate totally from the other flowers, it will end in a totally different image but it will make your flower stand up. |

What a beautiful water lily that you have captured and turned into a lovely image. I like the square crop and now that certain spots have been cleaned I find that the final image is gorgeous. Well done Julie!

Hi Melanie, your treatment in this image is absolutely stunning, I love the soft tonalities and how you have isolated the main flowers from the background, although I also like the colour version I thing that the monochrome is fantastic. Well donne |

Hi Diana, you are very lucky to have this flower in your house. You have captured it in a beautiful way and your editing enhance the flower removing distracting parts of the cactus.
I like also the white background it mades the flower pop up and be the main character in the image
Well done! |

Hi Fran,
I love Dahlias too and I love your image. You have captured and edited very well. I like the tonal vignette, I have also used it in some of my images.
The tonal palette and the crop of the image works very well to center the attention in the centre of the flower. Well done!

Hi AI, thanks for accepting me in the group and for conducted it as administrator.
I really enjoy the still life composition that you have created with this beautiful bunch of tulips.
If I were you I would work a little more with the background finding a texture that really compliment the flowers.
Focus stacking is a great thing for getting the most of the detail but I am not using it a lot with flowers, I prefer the softness of the shallow depth of field in most of my images.

Thanks very much to all for your kind comments and for your warm welcome and sorry me for not answered before. I am traveling around Tasmania and you can't imagine what the communications aren't working here, most of the time no telephone reception neither wifi or internet connection.
I agree that a tighter crop is working better
Looking forward to see your September's images |

Ohhh the wild turkeys! Here we have them everywhere even in the gardens digging and creating a big mess. I tried over the years to get a good photo of them, and I have to said, without much success on my part.
I congratulate to you because you got them with fine detail and beautiful background, Well done! |

Hi Adrian,
It is such a beautiful place, you did well hiking up to get this view. As others I like more the composition in the first image. It has more room for the mountains and the sky and the shape of the lake appears more to me.
No easy to take the best of the landscape in the middle of the day but I find that you manage well in this.
Maybe I will apply a bit of vignetting to center more the attention in the lake.
Beautiful image! |

Hi Marie,
Wonderful moment that you have captured, I love when some interaction is happening between animals, it make more intriguing and interesting the shot.
I love the tight crop and the enhancement of colours.
Unfortunately we don't have squirrels here in Australia because I really like them and I would spend hours capturing their behavior.
Well done! |

Hi Barbara,
I Love this little creatures but they are really very fast with unpredictable flight.
You have been very fortunate to have a nest nearby and to be able to monitor the growth of these chicks.
Unfortunately this is increasingly difficult to see due to the decrease in the population of this species.
Lovely image with plenty of detail. Well done. |
