39 Feb 26 Comment I agree with the lighting, thanks. Feb 12th
39 Feb 26 Comment A great effect created by the fog. The ducks and reflections of the ducks in the water is a strong visual. High impact and interest.

I would only say maybe give the ducks a but more room to move into. See attached.

39 Feb 26 Comment An interesting subject that works well in B&W. There is great detail in the rock which shows lichen. It could be mistaken for a whale breaching.

If bringing out detail was the intent, in this case the rock, I would suggest exposing for the rock. With a great contrast between the sky and the rock, you might also consider two shots, one for the rock and one for the sky and combine them when processing.

I would also consider cropping from the top too remove some of the negative space at the top. This would give the rock more emphasis. On the other hand, maybe it gives the rock more room to move into, creative choice.

39 Feb 26 Comment Taking a picture of someone taking a picture of someone taking a picture of goodies. It has high impact and interest. A good subject for B&W as it has great tones and contrast that do not show up in the color version.

Wonder if a vignette would give the subjects even more impact.

39 Feb 26 Comment A good subject, and a good composition. Not an easy shot.

The whites have lost a lot of detail due to over exposure. I checked the image in LR, see histogram attached. With that said, there is still detail that can be brought out in the water and the bird by lowering the highlights and raising the shadows. If not checking the histogram on the camera viewfinder when shooting, I might suggest checking into it. Using the histogram at time of shooting, and processing is a great tool to ensure proper exposure.

39 Feb 26 Comment This has great detail, and the lighting on the tree trunks is very special. The DOF works well with the tree trunks that are well lite.

I wonder if the original has more detail in the dark areas that could be brought out for even more depth.

A strong image with good interest.
