39 Nov 25 Comment A good composition with impact and interest especially from the splashing waves and fog or mist.

I agree with the others, on processing tips.

You mentioned shooting in B&W, but looking at the original, I think I see colors.

Are you shooting in RAW, JPG or both formats?

I ask because when setting the camera to B&W, if using RAW, the image will be B&W on the camera LCD but will be color when down loaded. You would need to set the camera to shoot JPG or both RAW and JPG, and the JPG would be B&W and the Raw, color. That said, a JPG file will be very limited when processing. Converting the RAW and to B&W in processing might be a better choice. Hope this makes sense. This also holds true for the many Scene settings available on cameras, they will only apply to JPG images, not RAW. Here is a link that explains it in more detail, and better than I can, https://dearbubbles.com/2025/07/raw-vs-jpeg/.

39 Nov 25 Comment The language of the bodies makes this a strong image. The conversion to B&W is especially strong over the color version.

I tend to agree with Paul, with one more suggestion. The square format tends to limit their movement, and I think a horizontal format might give them more room and therefore, impact. See what you think, I also added a stroke.

39 Nov 25 Comment A great story with an image to back it up. Very enjoyable when accompanied by the story. The image does hold a bit of its own without the story as well.

I would agree with removing the table in the lower right. If you are going to do anything more with it, I might tone down the bonnet, give it a bit mor contrast and add a vignette along with removing the table. See attached.

39 Nov 25 Comment A very strong image with great detail, and the trees add a good framing effect. The eyes make this image very strong and pull the viewer right to him. I agree with the group on moe room on the right, however, that is easily corrected in photoshop. See atached. It might be too much, but can be cropped. Nov 18th
39 Nov 25 Comment Do you live in MN? I was born and lived here most of my life and am now in Hanover MN.

Great shot of this old building. I have images of the Gold Medal Flour building from across the river and images of the Pillsbury's Best Flour building.

The lighting, contrast and details are well done. A definite subject for B&W and the conversion here is high impact and interest.

I would like to see more of the building on the right side as it has great interest with the crumbling walls. Maybe a little more contrast and less brightness in the Gold Medal Flour sign. Might also crop from the bottom to eliminate some of the negative space. Very strong.
