39 Aug 25 Comment A very strong composition, and story of bygone years. The lead into the image, the building and the tracks leading to the train and finally the clouds all work in unison to give t his image iterest and impact. On the technical side, the detail, contrast, tones and lighting work to creat depth and and flow. Good one. Aug 28th
39 Aug 25 Comment This is a strong story of a hard life, I can almost feel desperation. It's a bit like seeing a dog left on the side of a road to fight for it's life. For me the horse in the background of the color version adds to the story as both appear to be looking the way in hope of something better. I would not take that horse out. There is strong emotion coming from this image. Aug 28th
39 Aug 25 Comment Always like minimalist images. This works well especially with the shadows providing a feel of motion or life to the dead twig. I also agree with removing the twig on the left. Good eye and capture. Aug 28th
39 Aug 25 Comment The idea and thought for the image are right on. I agree that the composition leads to the main subject, but the subject is a bit lost as the overall tones and lighting are flat. There is little depth, or separation of foreground, background and subject. Not sure the settings used so can't suggest any changes. Aug 28th
39 Aug 25 Comment Sorry for my late response. This image has great interest and impact. It tells a story and the faces are a great part of the story. The compostition is strong and the details, sharp focus and conversion are well done. Would not change a thing. Aug 28th
39 Aug 25 Reply Used a tripod to keep from camera movement, although, I have tried ICM at times with some great and unique results. Aug 11th
