I have had opportunity to do some similar to this, it is great fun and From this image it is evident you really enjoyed it. There is movement, interest and intrigue which pulls the viewer in and holds them. You managed to get the left eye in the light at the right moment with is a big plus. The tones, shapes also make this a very strong image. I can hear Shirley Bassey singing Goldfinger.
The crop mentioned by Fran or just above the eye might be interesting. Great catch no matter. |

the work eliminating the chairs and softening the background is very good. The conversion makes her face and especially the eyes stand out and and draw attention. There is good detail in her dress, hair and face. The placement of the hands provides good symmetry. Very well done. |

Great street shot and story. I like that the couple still command the interest in the image even though they are minimal to the rest of the image. Including the light and posters adds good interest to the image.
The people are a bit too bright and sharp, it does make them stand out more but a bit less would work well. |

A great shot of a Navajo Elder, I have taken a few of them myself, they are good people to work with. Monochrome works well for these portraits and this is a good example. I prefer the B&W version, for me it is much stronger and has higher impact. The reasons are, the shirt and especially the neckless almost disappear in the sepia toned image and I think those are important elements of the subject story. Also, the tooth in the sepia version is overly bright and pulls my eye which it doesn't in the B&W version. Still a great grab just a difference in tones. |
