39 Aug 23 Reply I created one with and one without the telephone poles and much prefer the one with. For me it gives it a little more balance. See what you think. Aug 14th
39 Aug 23 Comment It feels like it is coming right out of the frame at me. Great composition. The details and lighting are very strong, by that I mean great. Both the B&W have great impact and interest, I think I prefer the color, those colors are dynamic and give Wendell an extra punch. Great shot, wall hanger. Aug 10th
39 Aug 23 Reply Great catch on the shadow Paul, I agree now that you pointed it out. Aug 10th
39 Aug 23 Comment You caught all the main elements working together, the frame of the building, the detail in the door, the window over the door, the guitar well placed and the main thing, she is off center of the door. A very strong composition. You done good! Aug 10th
39 Aug 23 Comment This is very nice, the lines leading in from bottom right to the cliffs then back out in the water gives it great flow. I think the tones are great considering there is a haze/fog in the air, yet the people and waves are strong. The clouds are an added bonus. The lighting on the water appears as though there is an opening in the clouds with the sun shining through. The judge is only one set of eyes. Aug 10th
39 Aug 23 Comment An interesting image with impact. She kind of draws the viewer in. Makes me wonder what she is thinking. I like it, it's intriguing, a mystery.

I think the dark area is a bit distracting I would add back some details so we have an idea of the environment she is in, might even crop some of it. I would add a thin stroke around the image to make it stand out from the background.

39 Aug 23 Comment Cool idea. I like the rock as an egg and the reflection is great. A couple things I would suggest, 1) include all of the reflection, a lower angle might work for that and it would give the dinosaur more height. 2) the dinosaur blends with the ground and does not stand out , changing the angle might help with that also.

Fun to play with toys again?

39 Aug 23 Comment I tend to agree with you. I am not a fan of shooting tall waterfalls so I shoot portions of them as you have done here.

The composition is very good and balanced well. The flow of water works well to bring the viewer in and hold them. The colors and tones give the image good impact and interest.

The conversion to B&W has lost a lot of depth, in the color version each of the rocks has different tones and lighting which creates depth. In the B&W the rocks especially the center and bottom right have lost their shadow/light effect causing the image to flatten. It also looks a bit over sharpened or too high in contrast as the water has become harsh looking instead of smooth, unless that's the effect you wanted.

Maybe some selective adjustment could bring out the depth more.
