Thanks Jerry. I do belong to a club here in MN and will try and reach Don. My camera, Olympus also has the color filters I could use, have never tried them, will have to give them a try. |

The lighting on the B&W version is superb. The conversion with the app really worked well. The vignette makes the lion pop from the frame with a great DOF.
I would not change anything. If you do competition, this would be one to use for the B&W category. |

My vote is for the main one, I like the additional lines and patterns. It also works better with the crop of the grill than the original and third image. I would like to see the full grill just for comparison.
A question, would the image be better if the camera were used? Your thoughts.
BTW, per the Guidelines, above, the images should be 1200 - 1400 pixels on the long side so that when someone clicks on the image they see a larger version. |

Both images are very strong with great sharpness, tones and contrast. they are well balanced and simplistic but with good interest and impact. Using f/6.3 was a good choice as the DOF is very good making them appear as two separate flowers.
I might put a thin stroke around the B&W version for a boarder. |

I prefer the B&W with the clouds as they help bring the attention to the church. There is also more contract and detail in this image vs. the other B&W. The composition works well with the wall leading in to the church.
The dark vignette in the non-cloud image is a bit distracting and unnatural looking. |

The conversion to B&W is very good with strong contrast that brings out detail. The story works well with the horse and women on the left and the man on the far right and the fence bringing them together.
The man looks like he wants no involvement with the preparation and will just guard the path out. |

This has some great lighting with the light creating contrast on her left side and on her sweater. There are good catch lights in the eyes which pull the viewer in to them. The background is blurred enough to be non intrusive and the clouds are a plus. The composition with her on the left and room for her to look into works well,
Not sure about the post behind her. |
