I agree about the boarder, it is a bit too strong and distractive, good catch. I am not quite sure about cropping the clouds, for me the clouds are important to the image. I would even give them more contrast. |

A great catch with action and lots of detail. The eye has catch light in it and makes the bird even stronger. Your removing of the branches gives the bird more emphasis and impact. It is a bit tough to turn a black subject into a B&W image.
I think the shadows could be brought out more on the bird, it would provide even more detail and really makes the eye stand out. See what you think. |

I had the same comments as the others. Now that I see the adjusted version, the exposure is right on but I think it could still be cropped a bit more at the top. There is good detail in her face and the eyes with catch lights pull the viewer right in.
The first one was leaning toward infrared, which would be fine if that was your vision. But, I prefer the adjusted version.
Not sure about the strings hanging behind her back between her back and arm, a bit distracting. |

Powerful, it tells me that I don't want to be there. It also tells me there is feeling of concern or maybe fear from the person at the end of the underpass. On the other hand, looking closer at the person standing, she appears to be looking at pictures on the wall with no concern for the person laying in the underpass. I can pick my own story I guess. The conversion to monochrome works very well for the subject and adds even more intrigue.
I think this should win a journalistic award.

I looks infrared to me, but not overdone. The use of 16:9 format works well for the subject and the framing with the tree is a nice touch. all the subject show detail and even those that are very bright do not appear blown out. Overall it is well done, the only minor thing I see is the camera right object is cropped, minor. |

The clouds work well to show both the low flying turbulent clouds and the low rain clouds dropping rain on the mountains. I rather like the darker clouds as they add drama and interest to the sky. There is a sharp difference between the foreground with the airport, the spit leading out to the mountains, the hazy background and the sky, four interesting layers to keep the viewer looking. Well done.
