BTW, no-one mentioned that "ABSOLUTLY" is missed spelled. I did not catch it either, another person pointed it out to me. Just adds to the story I guess. |

What a moment! The work on the background is well done and gives strong emphasis on the girl and bubble. I like the way she is holding the bubble stick, it becomes a second focal point when viewing the image. A great story with the dirty hands and all.
This could be a competition image in my book.
I have done some video extraction and found it works well in situations like this. Now with Pro Capture I can shoot as high as 60fps in RAW format which I like even more, as I have more control in processing later.

You were able to pull out a lot of detail that I can't see in the color version. The people and their position up in the clouds makes this image very strong vs. not having them.
I am wondering if cropping some from the bottom or having shot it horizontal would give the people more emphasis but I expect the castle is more the subject.
I would also be interested in more info on the castle. |

Wow, very unique and great catch of the needle. Chihuly does some fantastic glass work, I saw some at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix a few years ago.
This image has great tones, contrast and detail. It works in a way the needle is quite evident and does not need to be pointed out, I think the crop brings it out.
I might try a vignette or blur the surroundings to make the ball stand out even more. |

This has a flowing mercury look to it. It has high interest and keeps the viewer in the image. I have seen many sand dunes but never with this effect going on. The B&W version is much stronger than the color with it's rich tones, shading and detail. The flowing sand, especially the larger portions, almost look like they are detached from the rest of the sand and having free. Very cool. |

This has great lighting in both the shadows and highlights with no loss of detail in either. The shapes, curves and lines all work together to make a strong impact image. The close crop and elimination of the distracting background works very well.
I would only recommend a thin stroke to separate the image from the background. |

I can really see the energy in both the horse and rider. The rider especially has high energy and looks like he is yelling with his mouth open at the horse.
The DOF works to bring out the horse and rider and the there is great detail and sharp focus on the subjects.
A great action shot.
I would only look for a little more room for them to move into, the crop is a bit too close on the right. |
