I agree, I could have shot in vertical format. The shadow lower right is a patch on the road, thought it would it take away from the image to crop it out. |

I thought about that too, but when I tried that view it did not work for me, I prefer the imbalance. |

I think I like the flare, it brings the eye right to the buildings after following the bridge in. |

I think the angle is what makes the image and for me gives it some emotion. |

Thanks Jerry, actualy MN is very flat, makes good farmland, I did not use a vertical format for the image. It was a spur of the moment thing and it was very cold, so I saw the shot took it and back inside. Had I planned it I would have done a lot different. |

I like your recommendations and I could have had one of the team walk there for me, did not think of it. |

Been there done that, I think we all have to try things out now and then. |

This has great texture and tones. The composition leaning in from bottom left works well to pull the eye in. Although technically done well I find nothing to hold my attention and I think a thin stroke would help hold the eye in the image as it tends to blend with the black background. |

This is a strong and artistic image with good interest. I prefer the color version as the buildings stand out far more. The reflection in the color version is also much stronger. The fog and star on the steeple are added bonuses. A couple things I might suggest, 1) crop top or bottom to move off center and 2) remove the construction crane, it doesn't fit with the subject. Still a strong image with a great feel and interest. |

The light from behind and above works well to highlight his head, shoulder, left hand and the upper curve of the guitar. I like it and prefer the B&W over the color version. I think some light on his right arm and hand would add to the image. Because we are viewing on a black background it could really use a thin stroke around it to make it stand out more. |

This has a very good feel to it. I think it comes from the low angle of view. The lighting throughout is very good with highlights on the three windows so the viewer is pulled in to the main area. It is tilting right slightly which is a bit offsetting. |

Lots of great detail in the geyser and the people give it a great perspective. I think the crop needed to be done as the tree would have been competing with the geyser. Viewed in full gives it very good impact and interest.
There are many dust spots in the open sky which means there are probably many more that can't be seen in the rest of the image. Other than getting them removed in camera, I find the best way to find and eliminate them is in LR using the Spot Removal tool and turning on Visualize Spots. |
