Great info Paul, I will remember this myself. I have done some portraits and used your suggested setup, it reenforces the setup and I find it works very well. |

I really like this image because of the texture and the way the lighting works on different areas of the tack, very strong image. I prefer the toned monochrome used instead of pure B&W. Good choice to remove the tongue. If mine I think I would print and hang it. |

An interesting and quite strong still life. It's fun to see objects when there is nothing to do but wait. I have done some shots that way also. These salt and pepper pots, we call them shakers, work very well for B&W. I feel like I would want a little less blur on the pepper pot but still like the image. |

I think you captured the feel of an old cabin. I have been to many old cabins myself and they have a special feeling. I have also been to Door County a few times, a favorite place for us, would love to go again when things open up. The textures, lighting and reflections in the windows work to make this a strong image. Being able to keep the outside from blowing it is a trick sometimes, well done. |

Very well done, especially for your first try. The lighting is very nice and she has a good pose. I think I prefer the B&W version due to the background being muted. Well done. |
