25 Apr 26 Comment The fiery red in the sky works well with the muted blues and greys in the foreground.

There's just enough detail in the buildings etc. to stop it being a silhouette, and I like the bush in the right foreground which adds depth.

I think the image's strength lies in its stillness - subtle and dramatic at the same time.		 Apr 14th
25 Apr 26 Comment The strong shapes and details of the rose are shown well by the deep depth of focus, and the lighting is appropriate - the balance of flash and ambient is not obvious (i.e. good!).

The intense red background contrasts with the delicate hues of the rose, which works well, and the splash of green from the leaves adds something too I think.		 Apr 12th
