Audrey - I just cloned something similar from elsewhere, then tidied up with a bit of blur where needed. |

Eye-contact and expression can make or break a portrait, and your image is a great example of how to do it right. The complete lack of detail in the snow is perfect, as it makes the viewer concentrate on Gunner. The out-of-focus snowflakes set the scene too. Great image! |

Nothing much to add to the above comments - a nice colourful image with a lovely pastel palette. Your chosen depth of field is ideal - sharp where it should be, soft in the background etc. |

Fish n' Chips in a pub - it doesn't get better! Nicely captured - the overall warm tone really suits the subject. As Ellen says, you've caught the diner in action! One very tiny change that might be worth investigating is toning down the burnt highlights in the three lights in the mirror. |

I like this shot. Lots of hard details in the equipment, and the pole leads the gaze upwards. I like the trees on the right - they seems to me to act as a 'stop', and the few out-of-focus leaves give the image depth. |

No room at the venue for a longer lens... |

The whole thing was done at a rush - so nothing special for the lighting. I used two strobes modified with shoot-through umbrellas (set at the same power), and a black backdrop. The lights sprayed light everywhere (I seldom use brollies for that reason), so I had the dancer as far from the background as possible. |

Indeed - but once the lights are set I tend to use the f-stop on the camera to alter the lighting if needed, and I think this shot was set at f/7.1 |
