I think that the lighting emphasises the building's textures, and the colour difference between the sky and the building adds something. I tried warming the building slightly, and adding a little structure/contrast. |

I agree with Bollin's comments - except I'm not a Virginian! Toning down the red a bit might work. |

It's always good to see someone break the rules! The backlight really makes the subject glow. I think that a little crop might help - there's a distracting black bar on the right, and I don't think that the bottom 10% or so adds much to the image. I think the image is strong enough to really go to town with over-processing in many way - I've had fun doing all sorts of things to it - here's faux-HDR try. |
