Canals are always a good subject for images - we're fortunate to live within walking distance of one, so I've done a few myself Lots of colour in this image - and of course it could be made into an equally effective mono image as well (telling a different story). |

There is a lot of noise, maybe caused by sharpening? The break-up of the telephone wires is a little distracting - this could be fixed in photoshop etc with a lot of patience. I always find rainbows difficult to capture (they've usually gone by the time I find a camera). |

I wouldn't change much - maybe look at increasing the contrast a little in the clouds. |

I quite like the rectangular crop, but I'd flip it so that the flower was on the right. I would add a subtle vignette. There may be a little too much noise on the leaves - nothing that a can't be fixed. Of course I'm not sure my version is better, it's just more to my taste. |

I think this crop works well - thanks for suggesting it. |

It does look a little strange, now that you mention it. In fact the branch was some way behind the metalwork - being more in focus/sharper than the metalwork some of it is visible through the blur. Thanks for the comment - I hadn't noticed it. |
