Ed,
What a wonderful shot of this celebration in your town! I love the red bike up front with the flag. That candy apple red looks amazing right up in the foreground. I really like Dawn's crop, though, to eliminate those electrical lines and really focus in on the lineup of beautiful bikes. |

Neil,
Wow! What a shot! I love the composition and that you chose a faster shutter speed. Some of the falls actually remind me of lace. Noone else mentioned it, so it might be my monitor, but there's a bit of magenta that's throwing off the color a little for me. The blues and greens are gorgeous and this is definitely on my bucket list when I get back out west! Beautiful! |

Paul,
What a cool shot and great story! I love the way you captured "Real Italy," because I'll bet you have a lot of photos of really famous landmarks from that trip, too. With the exception of the sign, there's nothing that identifies it as Italy, but the gentlemen, the architecture, the attitude all feels very Italian, very European.
I envy your courage capturing people and scenes like this. I love it! |

How beautiful! I love the layers and the lines in the composition. The mountains are gorgeous and really clear! If If you were printing it, you might try to eliminate a couple of minor distractions, but it's such a beautiful shot! Bravo!
Interesting how different it would "feel" if the snow-capped mountains weren't on the horizon. |

Stuart,
Thank you so much! I like this square crop a LOT better! It still gives the layers of depth I wanted, the angles, and the movement, but focuses in on the Ibis. Thank you!!

Well, before I read the narrative, I uttered an emphatic "Wow!" So powerful! And after seeing the original, I see the dilemma in choosing the crop/focus. I really like the green mossy areas on the rocks that give it color. I know the water is naturally softer and misty, but I wonder how it would look sharpened up a bit. It really is a powerful image/composition and although I'm very envious of your visit and the original shot, I do like the drama of your crop. |

I think I remember this area...was it the prismatic spring? I've only been once and it was in July, but I remember those beautiful blues! Very interesting to see it covered in snow! The post-processing really transformed it into what you must've seen and felt. I really get that from your composition. Very pretty! |
