Thank you, all! I honestly can't remember why I shifted him to the right, but I'm definitely going to go back and push him left! |

Hello, Ed! This is a tough shot. There's a lot in the frame and I struggled to focus on the diners. In my humble opinion, if the diners and the mood/ambience is your priority, I like it cropped pretty far in so that they (and the interior) are the focus. There are probably a myriad different angles and foci in this shot! It is a pretty shot and definitely gives a festive, holiday feel. |

Paul, I love the movement in this shot (I can almost feel that wind blowing across the plains). The dramatic sky, the upward angle (I get the comments about the black and white images being distracting, but they do have a black to white movement from L to R) of the fence, the circular geometry in the bales give it real energy. I like those bales taking center stage in Mark's crop; I've never see them stacked up like that and it has a really cool effect. |

Hello, Mark! I'm pretty sure every one of your photos has made me utter a "Wow!" and this one is certainly no exception. I agree with Ed on the "artistic impact," but your photos don't seem to need much post. It's a stunning shot of the amazing beauty of this country taken at a point and location where you've captured a mood that we're all able to experience. Thank you for the shot, the research, and getting up that early to take it! ;) |

Hello, Darcy! You make me really want to get back up North through the Dakotas again...I like the different textures in this shot and like the greens for visual interest, but I really want to make this portrait style and focus on everything to the left (are we allowed to do portrait style? I can't remember if that's a limitation). It would be interesting to see what the waterfall looked like with both a faster and slower shutter speed, which I think would both look cool. |

Greetings, Dawn! I'm so new myself, it feels weird to say welcome, but "Welcome!" What a beautiful composition! My eyes do want some separation between the mountain and the barn, but I understand the limitations on where you're able position yourself for the shot. I love it better in B&W, too. However, I'm glad I looked at the original because I totally missed the tractor. I really want to isolate that green color of the tractor, make it red, and add that to the B&W...just for fun. |
