Thank you so much, Mark! I love the crop especially because it removes that crazy ride on the left of the image. ;) I really appreciate your detailed comments! |

Gorgeous! This shot reminds me of Colorado, and it can look pretty dry and dull in the Winter. I absolutely love this composition, the detail and the color. I especially love all the different variations of fauna and the great detail (love the foreground!). And the water is so clear it looks like you used a CP. Really beautiful landscape!
P.S. I just took a Lr course and thought it was interesting that the instructor also mentioned using vertical shots for his panoramas. |

Ed, I hate to say this, but I really like your original better! I love the look and "feel" of the greenery surrounding your waterfall oasis, and I don't get that with the B&W. It is a beautiful image and as always, love Mark's comments! |

Fantastic! How dramatic and beautiful! I like Mark's edits, though: rotation on the horizon line, cropping, and especially the emphasis on the color at the horizon line. |

I forget about how challenging it is to capture something as vast as the Grand Canyon, but this is an interesting "snapshot." At first my eyes really wanted to see the horizon, and the colors aren't your typical Grand Canyon warm hues. But I appreciate the color and texture dichotomy; the cool, muted, harsh textures of the rock against the bright, soft textures of the water. What an interesting composition and transformation! |

I can't speak much to the decision to go B&W, although I did think more contrast was better. But I like the angle of the shot; it gives it more drama. And I really like the cloud formations as they taper off into the background/horizon. |
