Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
88 Nov 25 Comment Hi Don. I enjoyed your photo but wonder if it fits our group description being. Subject - Land/Sea/Cityscapes: Photographic landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes capture the presence of nature, but can also include man-made features or disturbances. They show atmosphere, the land or the sea or the borders between them, sometimes vast and unending, at other times on a smaller, human scale, and sizes in between. Nov 9th
88 Nov 25 Comment Hi Quang. I clicked on Google Lens and it opened instantly on Diamond beach so you nailed the location. Its a "dynamic" image with the slow shutter speed but feels to need a bit more punch in the wave wash area. The "Diamond" nature of closest piece of ice really came out when I significantly enlarged the image so playing with a different crop that focused in on a smaller area could work well. thanks for sharing the story of the returning ice. 88 Nov 25 Comment Hi Charles. Your photo is a classic powerful autumn composition that captures the water movement beautifully. The placement of each waterfall and stream holds the eye and brings movement to the image. The first though I had when seeing your photo was Autumn. Well captured and processed. Nov 9th
88 Nov 25 Comment Hi Mark.
Overall the image is a little "flat" It appears that the original is not sharp and this carries forward into the final image. Changing the sky has worked well from a mood perspective and as already suggested the L/H side could have had some more "breathing" space. Lightening up the shadows in the open barn to reveal the other items plus back wall of this area may have created more interest as the main items up front should hold their own.
