Hi Candy. The bird is still flying into the frame but from the left-hand side. Your original is flying in from the right. To fly out of the frame the bird would have to be moved to the opposite side so its head was close to exiting the frame. My understanding of the change I suggested is based on the fact we read left to right and the brain is more comfortable with that positing. If you are happy with your orientation great, it was just an alternative view. |

Hi Jan.
I found creating more intimacy with the cows pulled the eye into the scene and gave a focal point to settle on. I then comfortably found myself moving around the rest of the image. Hopefully the small changes I've made bring the image together a little more. Well done on bravely experimenting. |

Hi Jan. I have recently returned from central australia and had processed my Aboriginal theme image for a coming month, when I saw yours. They have an amazing knowledge of the land, water, food, medicine etc. and its sad to see how the decisions made by a european culture for the "betterment" of their society have so badly backfired and we have ended up with issues that appear beyond challenging to repair. I have a photography mentor on the Kimberley who is very close to the communities and his comment is "We are trying to fix the problems we have created using the same cultural thinking that caused it in the first place. I acknowledge your deference to their relationship with the land and the I trust tweaks I've applied have not gone beyond your mystic feel.
The foreground you included is essential to add scale to this enormous land. |

Hi Gunter. I enjoyed the action in your image, but I must be having a month for me being contrary on image rotation. It felt better upside down and since I ended up with the image in my sandpit (PS) and I'm stuck in isolation, I decided to have a play and give it more pop. Its an alternative render. Your image is very well created and works well and is visually interesting. |

Hi Candy. My only suggestion is to horizontally flip the image. This is generally more comfortable for viewers with birds in flight. I don't think it takes away from any of the drama you have created. |

I enjoyed the image Steve. Your statements ring so true when I look at self portrait these days and have to accept the reality that its me on the outside. |
