Hey Catherine, I see a trend in the comments about a slant. I put the image in Adobe Camera Raw and played with the perspective. I added some texture and clarity to make the water look wetter. If you are entering this in a contest, they may not allow all the mumbo jumbo I did. Nice image. |

Hey Charles, very nice. I agree with Quang about the color saturation. I like the clothes at the bottom and I would find it hard Personally, to crop it out. When I saw the image, it said... Cuba, to me. then I saw your title. If this was a village in Central America, I would expect brighter colors. This is a very nice image and the sort of stuff I like to shot when I travel. Thanks for sharing. |

Hey Quang and Charles. Thank you for your comments. I think was I was going for, and what you both thought might work better, was a real eyeopener. I guess I was so taken by the tide going out so far that I did not think about the houses on the shore. If you look at a map of The Gulf of California, and find Puerto Penasco, the city of San Felipe is on the other side in Baja. When I was there, the tide went out much farther and It was the first time I had ever seen that. Maybe this is a little more of what you meant? Thanks for helping me see this differently. |
