40 Apr 25 Comment Hey Janice. Nice shot. I read all the comments and I took a long long look at the overall image. First, what is the subject. I hope not the church. I admit I am envious that you were in Iceland, and I hope to go there in 2026. I think it was the clouds. Which in my opinion means, you did not need all the foreground or all the darkness at the top. I also think the foreground being dark is fine, unless that is the subject. I did think it needed a little more depth like some texture and clarity. The texture added some noise which I took out with a Denise app. So I cropped from the top and bottom and from the left (just a smidge) Again. I liked your image, Apr 28th
40 Apr 25 Comment Hey Andrew, I like your image. I would love to visit Pompeii. I wish I would have seen the original because I am having trouble figuring out what you did. I can tell you what not to do. do not crop any of the image. I did and it no longer looked like a wall. I did as some sharpening to it. Your image looks more realistic, but I thought I would show you what I did. there are times when all that texture and clarity stuff works and times when I don't think it does. Nice shot. Apr 6th
40 Apr 25 Comment Hey Julie. You know how much I love buildings. This is a cool one. Now, I looked at the original and, thank you for including it. I noticed the building was sort of tilted, but the trees appear be straight. I think the building has a natural tilt, that got straightened by you or by accident, but the trees not look tilted and sort of distorted. I think the sky looks cool, but it also looks sort of distorted (but probably not. I straightened the trees and the building sort of had a cool tilt, that may have been natural. I also added some texture and Clarity (I am sure everyone was surprised). I also tried to remove the shadows on the concrete because they looked grainy. Of course, I may be totally off base here. Just some things to think about. I think it is interesting that most group members wait until later in the month to start making comments. I am so excited to see everyone's images each month that I just can't wait to jump in. So, although I consider myself an architectural photographer, I have so much trouble with aspects. You are a very good photographer and I always look forward to seeing what you post each month. Apr 5th
