Hey Janice, I just remembered my Nikon has a level built in and it is pretty good, however I alway forget to use it. Just like that expensive tripod I purchased and only used once. Thanks for the help and I hope they let me pet one of the giant turtles (probably not). |

Hey Catherine. Happy Holidays. I liked your image. I was thinking that showing the end of the board made me think of starting a journey. I wondered what it would look like if you were on the journey. This sort of looks like where I lived in North Florida. I took out some of the tall sticks and did some editing. you have a good nack for showing what different parts of the country feel like. |

Hey Ling Ling. What a difference your second version makes. I really like it. It is one of the best I have seen from you. I did not try it, but remember when you have a lot of water the clarity setting can make it look wetter. you can use the masking tool if you use adobe products and just add clarity to the water. Your image was well worth you getting up at 3:30 am. That one is suitable for framing. |

Hey Janice, nice image. I use topaz and my version puts up four images to choose from. sometimes I choose the wrong one. I also remember that Topaz does not like Tif files, or someting like that. I used to save as tif but I am a creature of habit and just use PSD or Jpeg to save things. I was wondering if some of the right part of the image could have been cropped. It's all a matter of taste. I just think the horse might have been a bigger part of the image if it had cooperated more. Happy Holidays. |

Okay, you and Andrew gave me just what I wanted. I cropped the right and straightened the horizon ( I even checked it with a level) and I even had a friend help me get rid of the sort of fog on the hilltop. I like it a lot more now. I am ready for my trip. we are going diving and I have a waterproof point and shoot and will get to try some photogrphy I have never tried before. Happy Holidays. |

Hey Henry, I see where Janice and Andrew are coming from. I tried some cropping and other things but I just don't know if the fact you went to Monet's house blew me away and I just enjoyed what you posted. Happy Holidays |

Hey Andrew, Interesting image. It sort of have some comic relief. The guy driving the train is looking at a sign that says stop. There are a lot of interesting things in your image as usual. Your stuff does not need removing things that might be distracting. It is all jus part of life. Happy Holidays. |

Hey Julie, I hope you don't mind me jumping in on the first day. I love abstract photography. I also think it is one place you can play around with stuff. I adjusted your white balance and kicked up the Texture and clarity. I also took out some small items that sort of distracted me. I think with an image you are trying to make look abstract, you could even have increased the saturation or vibrance. your shot is great, I just think you could go a little "wild" with this. Happy Holidays. |
