Hey Andrew. So my imagination started to wander and I pictured the two models for the statues came back in their later life to admire the work. The image seemed washed out to me so I just punched it up a bit. I like that your images usually have a subject and a story. |

Hey Henry. Nice shot. It looks like where I used to hang out in the late 60's (except the guy in the middle would have been listening to a radio). The boat in the background can stay or go ( for me... go). Fun Street Photography. |

Hey Julie. Martin is right. If the surfer was goofy footed (like me) the image would have been perfect. All of the other suggestions are spot on. Your work is always fun to look at, and I look forward to it. |

Hey Catherine. This is a great shot. It is very sharp and the exposure seem right on to me. I love the story you are telling here and I like the way you framed it. I did change one thing and it really did not need changing. I found the area behind the eye on the right horse sort of distracting and ther were some wispy hairs, so I took them out. I do have a suggestion the if you are in a situation like this again, try shooting one shot at 1/5oo shutter speed and another at a slower speed. It will hange the ISO and unless there is someting that needs that fast of a shutter speed for, it might make a difference. I don't know, just a thought. Your work has seemed to go into a different dirrecrion nand I like where you are going. |

Hey Haru, nice image. I understand why you did what you did with the high-key lighting. I think you got the effect you were going for. Two things: I think the white ball of nothing at the top center is a distraction, and I know you are not going to like this... but I think I liked the color version better. your conversion sort of has an infered feel. The thing I like about your images is that they seem to invoke emotions. Your work always feels serious and well thought out. |

Hey Trevor. It is always a treat to view your work. I like your take on the cropping and I like what ed did with the contrast. Your crop makes me feel like I am actually there. I do like your color original, but I feel your black and white treatment makes the image feel more balanced. it is interesting that I can almost hear the sound of people walking and talking to each other. Thanks Trevor. |

Hey Everyone, thank you for your comments. I don't think I have gotten such positive feedback on any of my submissions to date. I think the bottome line here is that we all capture a variety of different images and sometimes it is random, and sometimes it is with a specific purpose. I tend to shoot better when I have, as my wife would say, "an assignment". I took this image with the clear intent of working on the stairs, and I knew this would get a black and white treatment. I have tried shooting landscapes, wildlife, street, and portrait photography and I feel most comfortable capturing textures and abstract architectural subjects. Thank you for helping me on this journey. |

Hey Ed. Nice church shot. Sorry I had to take out the Telephone pole. I kind of like the black and white better. Thanks for sharing. |
