Hey Henry, just heard about your illness. I think we all have been doing out best to avoid Covid, knowing you can do everyting right and still get sick. We will hope for a speedy recovery and look forward to more images from you soon. I am glad you have Lake Superior to look at. Take care

Hey Andrew, I agree with Stephen. I love interior shots like this. The PSA had a class recently with Padma Inguva. she had some really cool interior shots of churches. She shoots them as panorama's and then stiches them together. I wish I knew what focal length lens you used. I would like to photograph some churches from the inside. Thanks. one last question: being that this was a few years ago, would you do anything different if you were photographing inside a similar church today? |

Hey Julie, I agree with Sharon, this is a great capture. This is a much sharper image of a bird than I have ever been able to capture. I like the space around the bird. To me it shows action. I don't think I would crop any if it were me. I like the shadows on the body, it looks more natural. The only kind of photography I do not shoot is wildlife (my lenses are all too wide). One day I might try it. Thanks Julie. |

Hey Dick, I like this image. I am confused. In the original the stream seems to be on the right side and in the black and white, it seems to be on the left side. Maybe it's just me. I think the black and white works better than the color version. I like the stuff hanging from the tree in the foreground (moss, maybe). anyway the trail blends really good, and the overall detail is very nice. Thanks for sharing Dick. |

Hey Jeff, Nice shot. I like that you use all the bells and whistles Photoshop has to offer. I have not tried this kind of stuff, except the one time I replaced the sky on an image and amost got run out of town by my shooting buddies. I like the rays of light but there are two white areas (dots) that are distracting me. one is on the ground to the left of the lighthouse and the other is on the third section from the bottom on the right side of the lighthouse. I like that the area around the moon is a little lighter, as it would be. This is a cool image and I would only tell my PSA buddies that the moon was not there. I print with MOAB papers and have had good luck. I am sory I don't have a suggestion for which paper. |

Hey Haru, first, I am a fan of your work. I am also a big fan of Black and White images and have shot, and studied them for over 50 years. As with a lot of your submitted work, I like your color versions over your black and white. It's just my opinion. This seems to hold true with this image. From a technical standpoint, I think your image is right on as usual. You asked about an emotional feeling when I looked at the image, and I have to say the splash of water did not evoke any, but the tree behide the water on the mound (not sure what to call it) against the snowy mountain really got me. I just put this together real quick to show you what I liked in this image. Of course, if the tree was a major focus I would have shot it from another angle against the mountain. Not sure what to do about the sky. |
