I have looked on ebay but they fetch a high price now. The bird was a beauty again something I wouldn't have either. I am loving exploring still life and quirky subjects. |

Thanks Stephen, I am trying to get some genuine apothecary bottles and props to extend this look. This was just a first go. I am very interested in the Vanitas and Dutch still life works so there will be more of this style to come. I had the pleasure of using these props last week but I need more time with them in a studio. |

Well done Wes, I see the difference from the original and the framing effect gives it the old photo feel. I studied Chiaroscuro last year for an exhibition I was preparing. My original name for the exhibition was Chiaroscuro but I ended up changing to light and dark as my themes are more about life and death eg light and dark. |

Interesting image. I do like the color minus the christmas lights. The backlight shows up more and adds more interest. With editing in the black and white I find the left side heavy and dark, the right side with the edge is distracting and there is a slight highlight that might look better taken out.I did a portrait crop on it to see how it looks with a tighter view. |
