Thank you Lynne we had a lot more than are on show here. I made the image with intention to do Photo gravure so it is on the darker side but I see how everyone see's it that way. |

Hi Diana I have been working on creative and composites for some time now. With this one the concept is good but there are a few things that stand out a bit to me. The Goat is too bright for the setting and the fall of light doesnt match the background image light. The truck needs to throw a shadow too and the birds look upside down or something not right with them. Shadow and light play a really big role in getting the image right. Have a look at the Creative comp that PSA had just recently for members. Also if you are really keen there are some very informative tutorials out there for composites which I can refer you to.
Just a really quick fix and not the same sepia and finish as you but added shadow to goat and truck as well as different birds to give you an idea. |

Hi Wes thank you for the feedback. We had heaps of orchids bloom this year, I have attached a couple for you to see. They still have some flowers on them now even after storms and very hot weather. I took these images for sending to get a photo gravure plate made, as I want to print one up as part of an exhibition. My aim was to get that light and dark within it so that it prints like that with ink. I did forget to write about that when I submitted the image. |

Thank you Rick it does look better at midpoint. I am going to try a texture and light flare on side and see what that does to it. |

Thank you Stephen it does come across as dark but I did try what you did before I submitted and found it washes the flowers out a bit too much. I would probably re edit with textures and an overlay lightsource. I will see if I get time in the next week to have a go and present to the group. |
